Anyone got a fix for this since i cant finish this bug festival of a #$%@ game.

Oh and b.t.w. First time i bought a game from 1cC and ofcourse the last time because a game with so many bug like this is plain lazy and sloppy work.

Use the latest patch, build 6250. Loki was probably fixed in build 6246 (which was a while ago).

Are you using any user mods or user patches (or have you used them before)?

Is there any particular spell you are using? What units are you using? Does it happen when a unit walks over a fiery hex?

If you can consistently crash it, can you tell us the steps to repeat it?

Got paladins, demonogist, rune-mages, canonneers and elves + ancient phoenix.

Indeed when a fiercy hex is in place its crashing when a unit steps on it.
Mmm perhaps it crashes when a summoned unit is on it.

iam now gonna try all new units except for the paladins.

I've beaten him with Demons and Demonologists (both summoned units) and been hit with too many fiery hexes too.

I've also beaten him with Ancient Phoenix too.

The only time I really crashed a lot with the fiery hex was on builds prior to 6246. <shrugs>

But, I was able to beat the game PRE 6246 build. Here is what I did. You can try to keep most of your army in the top/bottom lanes so he can't drop his fire wave on you (and you can avoid most fiery hexes). Then you have one or two 'hitters' to hit him.

The only bad part is if his own summons gets burninated and that might cause a crash.

So, you never used any mods or user patches? I only ask because user patches have to be deleted or else they override the current patch.

ive been using user patches/mods , but deleted them all (addon folder) after the 3th patch and that was way before this problem, so i guess thats not the problem. iam gonna use berserkers in the hope i can kill the boss fast enough, that will be my hope at the moment.

As a last resort , you can disable his fiery hexes in loki.atom file

wave {
class=scripted
script_attack=loki_boss_wave_attack
ad_factor=1
custom_params {
damage=200-300
typedmg=fire
stun=0
traps=7 (replace 7 with 0)
time=1
}
}

At least this way , you can still have a fight with him.

ok, fiery hexes is the problem.
A summoned unit by loki walking on a hex is causing the crash.

Sneaksie 12-21-2012 11:21 AM

Could you please zip the save before this crash, upload it here (you can attach a zip file to a post) and describe the steps needed to reproduce this crash? We can't reproduce it, units are moving normally over Loki traps in the current version. Thanks!

Beat him with your saved game using 3-4 summoned demon stacks via demonologist (long battle) and ancient phoenix.

Executioners ran into the fiery hexes about 3 times, no crash.

I even intentionally ran an ancient phoenix into the fiery hex, no crash. His own units ran into the fiery, no crash.

Even beat him no loss, no crash.

Can you describe the procedure to crash? I'm using build 6250, did not change your gear, just went to fight Loki immediately upon load.

Get crashed again and again (build 6450), until I changed the combat speed to "Normal"

Got indeed the speed at fast.

@ckdamascus didnt change anything, that save is the way i went into the fight.

However the game crashes sometimes also in other fights too. useally with the loki rage skill and the golem rage skill.

I always play on fast animations.

Loki Rage crashing is symptomatic of the old versions of the game.

I'm really curious if you tried casting Pygmy, what the enemy HP would be.

Also, I'm curious if Avenging Angel is broken for you or not.

Or perhaps you didn't delete every file except the .kfs files in sessions/addons (2 of them) and a locations directory.

Last modified date time for loc_ses.kfs and ses.kfs is going to be around 12/6/2012.
