Convergence Vert=Horiz ?? Russians respond please

I read on a recent post that the labels in the Russian game version loadout screen are correct and differ from the English version, in that Vert and Horizontal boxes are reversed.

Can a Russian user post a screen shot of his load out screen with the convergence label visible please .. like this English version:

Please translate the Russian legends for us non Cyrillic illiterates like me :)

hey IvanK

is that a screenshot of your current game???
cause my game has it the other way round...first horizontal and then vertical convergence...

Yep, here's mine, english version latest steam patch:

Anyway I've seen in another post someone saying that russian labels seem to be fixed.

ok i just double checked to be 100% sure...
mine is definitely the other way round

the upper convergence is the horizontal one, and the lower one the vertical...

its the current german steam version

PS: which plane are you looking at this screenshot?maybe it has something to do with this?

IvanK 11-07-2012 09:10 AM

Spit IIA. Your image might answer the question though in that Convergence in the English localisation is reversed/porked but not in other localisations. Will Check E4B in English version.

IvanK 11-07-2012 09:16 AM

Just checked the E4B in my install

Vertical Conv labelled on the top box

Horizontal labelled on the bottom box.... i.e. the reverse of yours.

So this implies that its only reversed in the English localisation.

I guess we now need to get someone from each localisation to respond so we can put this whole thing to bed once and for all.

hegykc 11-07-2012 09:20 AM

It's so on every plane, quick mission single, mission, campaign...

So it's just the english version than

pupo162 11-07-2012 10:31 AM

the spanish version is also reversed.

IvanK 11-07-2012 10:35 AM

screen shot please Pupo ... so we can document this.

i dont have a spanish version. but this is a know bug from version 1.1.

MadTommy 11-07-2012 11:20 AM

Well this would explain the different answers i got when i asked about this.

pupo162 11-07-2012 11:26 AM

its an easy test too, jsut set vertical convergence to 800 meters, and horizontal to a 100, and see.

this as been reported even before there was the bugtracker. Tough the Devs don't care to fix it.

To fix the issue they just switched text labels in recent patches, but they did not move the boxes. Thus if you had correct settings you do not have to change them.

In current RU version upper line is Horisontal (e.g. set @ 183 in my case) and lower line is vertical (set @ 600 in my case).

It may be the case that they did not switch text labels in all local versions as localization could be done externally.

To be sure just open the user.ini in the Docs/1C folder. The first figure is horisontal one, the 2nd is vertical. It is quicker to copy paste in this file than to use GUI changing 100 guns convergence anyway.

Code:

[Aircraft.SpitfireMkIa]
  conv _Gun03 Gun.Browning303MkII 183 600
  conv _Gun06 Gun.Browning303MkII 183 600
  conv _Gun00 Gun.Browning303MkII 183 600
  conv _Gun01 Gun.Browning303MkII 183 600
  conv _Gun07 Gun.Browning303MkII 183 600
  conv _Gun02 Gun.Browning303MkII 183 600
  conv _Gun05 Gun.Browning303MkII 183 600
  conv _Gun04 Gun.Browning303MkII 183 600

Russian version has convergence settings as:

Hor = гориз
Vert = верт

adonys 11-13-2012 11:54 AM

something seems to be wrong with that picture. I'm not seeing the 1000-133 vertical convergence ballistic trajectory difference.. maybe it's because of the screenshots angles?

vranac 11-13-2012 12:20 PM

Nice example Sokol1 !

@adonys you don't see how the yellow tracers (h 1000 v 130) going much more parallel with plane than red?

And how red tracers go much higher on the second ss (h 130 v 1000)?

KG26_Alpha 11-13-2012 02:45 PM

Well the threads nothing to do with convergences

just a GUI problem.
