help with the main quest : alliance with the vikings

I'm on tunqsinn island and i'm suppose to find out why the orcs waged war on tungsinn . I cleared the island , do all quest and nothing .what shall i do ?

barsuks 11-06-2012 09:27 AM

Hmm i think you didnt done all quests, there was no mark on building where needed attack orc, after that you get more quests :) i think needed attack near orc castle in building.

Elorie 11-09-2012 09:50 AM

Stuck

Yeah, that's where I'm stuck too - what exactly are you supposed to do there? There's a guarded tent with orc wife who tells you to destroy bracelet, then attacking castle does nothing... so?

Jazzer32 11-09-2012 11:44 AM

Im stuck on same place... Also, quest for killing black unicorn isnt working..I killed him but nothing happened :(

Karlos 11-09-2012 12:01 PM

The unicorn quest is properly bugged, you can't leave Tungsinn and come back (because the game would crash) but apart from that there shouldn't be anything wrong with that island.

The wife tells you do destroy the necklace, you fight her husband, then things sort of unravel on their own.

The strange thing was - right across the tent with the bad husband there's a fortress with some orc dude guarding it. You can't talk to him, there's no quest tied to him and when you beat him all you get is an empty castle. Weird.

how do you get to tunqsinn

Hmmm... i didnt get any quest with destroying neklace..strange...

regarding that dude..he is part of complex quest.

Fist find Laka. She is female orc (with make up) and she will want a lute, buy lute somewhere on island (i forgot who has it - i think its merchant in viking settlement). After that go to baradok who runs tavern he will want some entertainement for customers, so u'll propose Laka. But, she needs 3 items to be prepared for singing in tavern. Each of 3 items are in possession of 3 different people, and all 3 will want different thing from U (3 subquests). One of these quest is to fly a banner over that fortess (read, kill the Dude inside that fortress)

Well just talk first with the orc chieftain and then with his wife. She's in another tent nearby. Then you get the quest. I thought it was pretty straightforward.

As for the other orc dude, holy macaroni, I had no idea the lute quest was so complex! It must've bugged out on me. I got the quest from the fat singer to get her a lute, then I did some other errands, including killing the fortress dude, then while cruising above the island saw an active quest icon over one of the buildings in the viking settlement, went there, got a dialog option to buy a lute, bought a lute, brought it back to the fat singer and voila, quest completed :)

It's the very last area in the game, practically at the end, first you have to finish most of the main quests, then the viking king gives you a map.

No no that one is empty all right. The chieftain's wife lives in the tent by the main road, sort of on the crossroads of the main road and the side road that leads to the chieftain and the fortress. It's probably hard to spot.

The Tungsinn island is full of bugs : the quest "luckless hunter" isn't completed after killing the black unicorn and I can't complete either "a star is born" because of a quest "fly the banner" where you have to kill an orc Kraag Rottenteeth. After killing him, the quest disappeared (so does the banner in the inventory) but when you go back to Knud, nothing happen.

All this complains about game "bugs" only gives an undeserved bad reputation to the game.
The game works fine , maybe you people are doing something wrong. Or playing
an old unpatched save game with a patched version of the game. Just saying.

Aha so i guess bugs tread with 70 pages of errors and bugs is just players imagination and fabricated stories to make this perfect released game look bad ? When did you buy/start playing game? For first 15 days since release there was nothing of normal gameplay, only bug and mistranslated text, quests not working and other crap. And now you came with brilliant deduction we only need patch and everything will be fine. Who the f..k you think found all things needed to be fixed in patch, and who helped in making those fixes ???
Check http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=35494 , and see that players NOT game devs posted there and those fixes are included in patch you praise so much.

Not every bug affects all players. Past the frequent crashes fixed by the first few patches, many of them seem to be either bugs that only some players get for unexplainable reasons or bugs you might simply not notice because you aren't using the items, spells or troops that cause them.

I showed proves with screenshots in many threads ,that quests are working fine . I finished 111 of them , not a single on got bugged. End of story.

You put up an interesting point, as I am using an old unpatched saved game with a patched version of the game.

The notes didn't say it should affect the particular issues we are running into, but maybe it had unintended consequences.

A shame it might be a while before I can replay from the beginning to test it but at least now I know there is a chance, and that gives me hope! :)
