BoM? Battle of Moscow, Battle over Moscow or Battle for Moscow (?)

I did a search in the forums and saw it was called a few variants. What is the name that we think (currently as SoW was changed) BoM is supposed to be?

Just wondering?

Cheers, MP

One will have pop-up buildings, the other will have pop-up clouds ;)

Sorry, couldn't resist...

As long as they don't mind me 'popping' bye, that's fine ;)

I used to be called Battle for Moscow, but somehow I doubt the name will stick as there may be a Stalingrad map aswell as a Moscow map.

Hope it's not the middle one. The something over something label has been done to death by every other plonker already.

In Russian the battle is called "Battle for Moscow" (as well as "Battle for Britain") but for instance Stalingrad one is called "Stalingrad battle".

I do not think the game name will mention Moscow or Stalingrad.

Looks like a Friedrich to me :-P
If I remember well the G was called "the bulb", this one is quite sleek

But it seems the La5 are chasing it. So definitely Stalingrad.

Actually after looking closer I think the plane in the background is an Il-2.

If only there was an announcement :o I wanna know when I'll be able to fly these beauties !

Wierd isn't it that we knew SoW as Storm of War(before it changed) but no one knows (in the replies so-far) what it is currently called?

So where did BoM come from?

Pretty sure it was first seen at that trade show just before CloD's release. The one where members of the public were invited to try it out on computers that "didn't have enough ram". B6 made ention of it too I think.

As I said in a earlier post in this thread, the name was "Battle for Moscow". My understanding was the Battle "for" Moscow was a russian third party addon for the new IL-2 engine introduced at the Russian trade show, as already mentioned by Feathered. The Sequel had always been rumoured to be "the Med", but I believe the delays forced the developers to integrate the russian third party group into the development so they could release a Sequel as soon as possible for the much needed cash flow. The new name will most likely be in the pending "official announcement". I doubt the name will continue to be the "Battle for Moscow", as some of the screenshots appear to show the Stalingrad area, which suggests a broader area than the battle around "Moscow".

Main difference from F to G is the fuel filler position: Under the cockpit in F series.
And G1 to G4 dont have neither cowling bulges, so you cant call a G the "bulged" one.

greetings
