A few question about CoD
Hi all. After the final patch was released, i decided to give my collectors edition of CoD a second opportunity (im a big fan of IL-2 series from the beginning, and i spent a lot of... years with this sim). The last patch compared to the 1.05 official patch was a great improvement and im happy, but i have a question.
I do not have trackir, so in the old IL-2 i have the heading, speed and altitude in the left bottom corner displayed of the screen. Is there an option to enable this, like the old IL-2? For example, in the spitfire fighter, the compass is behind the stick and is very difficult to read it (i lose a lot of time). Thanks for the help boys :-). |
I have no idea how.. but have a look at the attached image on Luthier's post here..

I am not sure this will work for you as it has the gauges OR the cockpit but not both.Uncheck cockpit only. Then Control F1.
I could also get the gauges and external view.Control F1 and then control F2. |
Thanks for reply but in the cockpit, the gauges isnt appear... only in the external view. I need the info of the hdg, spd and alt like in the old IL-2 (or in a info window) inside the cockpit. Look at the image example, bottom left corner. This is the "info window" i need:

In single player it is possible via a script. It was published on SimHQ IIRC. Try searching for "speedbar script" here and there.
You can also set up a key to "view at instruments" in settings. |
|
In the view section of the controls there is a "glance at dashboard" key.I am not sure if it is the same as Ataros' "view at instruments" key.

I know pilots, who use AA, color change, FFB change, and who knows what else online (changed system files). I saw MrX's video, where he shoot with E4 withouth head shake. The steam VAC is a joke. Don't be so naive or stupid, to think, that the VAC prevent anything with CloD. And yes, these speedbar is a cheat. If you can keep the corner speed without you need to check the dashboard, if you able to make difficult maneuvering because you always see the speed, is a cheat. If you look back, and maneuvering with enemy on your six, but you always see your altitude, that is a xxxx cheat too. This smartass just made and spread scripts, and mods while he knows very well that anyone can use it online - that's a xxxx annoying. |

Please, stop... ;) |

Those scripts will not work online as they do not run on the server.
The only way to run such scripts is by hosting the mission which is the case for single player. In multiplayer, the mission script runs on the server and not on each client PC. |

That's really interesting you should mention that. I thought MR.X's deflection shooting was just amazing and I still do, BUT, I can't understand how his 109 appears to remain so smooth in flight. I noted that someone else mentioned that he'd done something to his elevators but beyond playing around with deadzones and sensitivity I have no idea what that might be. I certainly can't get my 109 to fly like that. That in itself doesn't necessarily mean anything but I couldn't see any cannon or headshake or low speed wobble in the X videos. |
