I'll be back at the end of the day to answer ... your questions

An anouncement of Mr. Ilya Shevchenko, better known as 'Luthier':

09-14-2012, 10:25 AM
I'll be back at the end of the day to answer more of your questions.

This is typical for the previous course. First, an announcement was made and then nothing happens. http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/images/icons/icon13.gif

Congratulations, you frighten the last loyal fans ...

Kind regards

Varrattu

This is typical example of the negative posts that polute this forum. Way to go!

I would guess that Luthier is busy or something more pressing came up and it is taking longer to answer the questions than he expected.

Answers to some of the questions would be great but we can afford to wait. It's not costing us anything.

Personally I would prefer a accurate, well thought out answer to one that was rushed to meet an arbitary deadline..

Tree_UK 09-18-2012 08:41 AM

I would of hoped he had shown a little respect to his customers and make a 10 second post explaing that he had more pressing matters or that he would be back later in the week. Unfortunatley it seems this is a very big ask for Luthier.

.

And who is responsible for that, mind you i was told off because apparently they don't work weekends, [now is Tuesday].
Come on are we supposed to stand up and applaud ,if there was nothing negative to say then nothing would be said.
Lets hope that there is some more news soon but to be honest i doubt it will be good news for Clod.

We just had one of these threads. It was locked after the usual arguing, so we don't need another one.

"I'll be back at the end of the day"

I wonder if he meant "...end of days."

SiThSpAwN 09-21-2012 03:10 PM

Well thats still a couple months, but I guess we waited this long...

Tree_UK 09-21-2012 03:12 PM

Well Klem seemed to think he would be back this week, but weve not heard from Klem or Luthier, so I'm waiting now to see their holiday pics.

SiThSpAwN 09-21-2012 03:17 PM

In his defense I have had a couple work days that turned into a whole week in my life... come to think of it, when I was younger I had a couple nights of drinking that turned into a whole week... so he either is hard at work or drunk in a ditch somewhere... either way.... I have no point...

5./JG27.Farber 09-21-2012 03:18 PM

Lol another thread.

Ok so prioty number one in the entire IL2 future should be answering some 150 questions asked a week...

Really? - Or is it just another bone of contention to pick?

I can imagine it in the office right now!

"Luthier! X Y and Z has come up good! - come and see!"
"Luthier! So and so is on the phone and wants answers to the future of IL2."
"Luthier! The brown stuff hit the rotating blades and this needs your urgent attention!"

Luthier's response - "No forget all that, I have to answer these 150 questions from the community before Tree UK dies of lack of sleep and his F5 finger drops off!"

SiThSpAwN 09-21-2012 03:24 PM

I have been pretty supportive of the IL2 team so far, but if you say you are going to do something, you should either do it or have the common courtesy to take the 5 mins out of your incredibly busy day to say you are incredibly busy and will get to them when you can...

True but poop happens.

kendo65 09-21-2012 03:28 PM

Yes. Another thread. I'm pleased that someone else started one as I was about to post again myself on this.

Sorry Farber, they do not have any justification for this. Those people defending them over this just demonstrate their complete lack of any bottom line.

So, where is our community liason person B6 then?

Any news?

Any updates?

Anyone care?

So, ban me for asking if it really is too much to enquire about this.

I'm really past giving a damn.

Sure does, but I working in Offset printing, and if a customer comes to me and needs me to answer some questions and I say I will get back to them by the end of the day, I had better do it or atleast let them know why I didnt.

Now of course I have never had a customer ask me 150 questions mixed in with tons of other crap that I had to filter thru, so its different, but there has to be a common courtesy to their customer base. period.

Yea I understand however different industries have different make ups and what is acceptable in one industry is surely not in another.

Dont get me wrong, they are not making anyone happy with the way they are carrying on. Thing is we just dont know whats going on behind closed doors.

And boy does it happen where this outfit is concerned.

They have it in spades. Poop, that is.

At this point in time I would not trust them to wield a shovel laden with poop in a vaguely horizontal direction.

Perhaps that is because they are too busy accidentally dishing it onto the heads of their customers/fans...you know...those people Luthier expressly omitted from any mention of the grand plan last time he posted.

As has been said...it is not about placating the needier elements of the fan-base, or catering to every whim...but the basic thing of doing the thing you say you are going to do. Before the end of the cosmos.

This ontop of every other thing.

They have a lot of 'things' to put right. Maybe start with a small thing and work their way up?

Oh and I can appreciate that, but in this day and age there is no excuse for not making a simple post in a forum. I am sure its quite a pressure cooker for him right now trying to keep the train on the tracks, but it took me about a minute to type this reply to you... just saying.

Well, we all know that two Russian weeks equals a couple of months... So a Russian day is naturally a couple of western weeks? Maybe two? ;)

The above is still applicable. Just wait, like everyone else on the forum has to.
