Bad news at Sukhoi?
Has there been some kind of announcement over at Sukhoi.ru?
From the little iv read (very very little) http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.ph...ml#Post3607204 its sounds like bad news. Maby its one of those english/russian things and i have absolutly nothing to go by or if anything happened so though id ask if any of you hard anything? |
Nothing happen, some speculations of people which know absolutly nothing.
And sukhoi.ru is down for days at the moment. |
I flicked through the above link, read through the comments and died a little inside.
I hope this is merely a glimmer of speculation and not the sword of Damocles dangling above. |
Well those blokes at simhq are mostly posters here too AFAIK.
Speculation is fun but a bit meaningless really. |
There are no comments from the Maddox Team or from 1C so why should they know more than we? BTW mostly of them are the same whiners you will find here around. Ignore them it's the best solution. Waschweiber Geschwätz as we german say.
|
Doesn't sound good but if true i hope CLOD is sold to someone who can see the huge potential in this game.
BTW, if 1C goes defunct, will all our 1C games on steam stop working ?? . |
I was mostly referring to this post:
"If B6's oblique message on the Russian forums means that development has ended (and thats a big 'if' 'cause you can read it a hundred different ways) BoM is very unlikely to see the light of day; they don't have the game engine to run it. Unless luthier can sell the financial backers a handful of magic beans its curtains." It kind of implies there is A specific massage from B6 that started it. |
Development of CoD was bound to end with the final release of next patch anyway. They planned to turn their effort completely to BoM afaik.
|
Geeze I hope not. I can't say I'm not expecting it, but it's going to hurt like hell if it does come to that. :(

too bad they (whoever) didn't quote the message... Don't read too much into that thread until some hard facts turn up... anything else is just chinese whispers and probably someone's idea of a bit of fun |
It's been bad news for the last 15 months if you take away what what the developers have spoken about. There has been no patch in 15 months that makes this game anywhere near playable for many and I won't be shocked in the slightest if this is true.

If there is any importent announcement, why should they make an at announcement at Sukhoi.ru and not inform us in here as well?
Dev´s moved to another office, thats all I know so far? I hope they are soon up running again. If you have more info about any announcement, please link them in here. Cheers |
Sukhoi has been down for maintinence for days. Anything in the SimHQ thread is probably speculation or old news.

Now would be a good point to lock the thread, perhaps?

I only started this thread to ask if someone here heard anything iv missed. Nothing more nothing less. ;) If speculations starts because of something posted by me (wich has no sollid basis to begin with as stated) its on those who speculate not me. ;) In fact, ill start the ball rolling by asking this question: Why is Sukhoi.ru down, why? The plot thickens.:) (oops, now it IS on me) |

Credit for this post to SiThSpAwN. |
That would certainly fit the bill and set the stage for all kinds of speculations, however, looking at the thread over at SimHQ, it turns out the poster was only talking about the move to new offices.
Been there, done that. At least the mystery is solved, sry all. :(:) |
