Tree_UK 07-13-2012 07:34 AM

I would love to see the autogen fixed and the hurricane starting problems, but the big one is to get the netcode fixed not least so we can start using different skins online, this is a massive immersion killer for me only seeing one horrible skin for the 109 on the ATAG server. I doubt the netcode will ever be addressed because i doubt they currently have the skills and capabilities to deal with it, but if they did it would bring a huge amount of people back to the game IMHO. I think by ignoring it the dev's are being very very shortsighted.

Please do not leave me in the darkness of ignorance!

What does "s!" means?

Feathered_IV 07-13-2012 09:05 AM

Its an Internet salutation meaning "salute"

Fliegenpilz 07-13-2012 09:08 AM

6S.Manu 07-13-2012 10:12 AM

The real italian word is "Saluti!" (the same as "Ciao").

"Salute" means "health".

In my IL2 experience I found that S! can be used as greeting, but also as a way to praise the other guy.... and sometimes this can begin some trouble between the pilots: because of this I don't use it anymore.

No they won't. Imagine getting told you have to move office at incredibly short notice. So much so you can't update the customers. Would be very frustrating. All that packing up and then setting up again. Could be a while for anything. Crikey, they may not have Internet connected at the new place for weeks if they just found out they have to move.
Poor blokes. Rough times, rough times.

yobnaf 07-13-2012 02:49 PM

Exactly mate. The new office will definitely make working on the new patch better. At least this time the delay for the update / patch was nothing to do with programming problems. This is a brand new one.

After the move it is time to start the summer holidays, too. I hope that the CloD - team will use the coming weeks for relaxing. They need a rest. And then they will work at the patch again for pleasing the community.

Thanks for the comment B6! This kind of communication is enough to continue. I hope that the move is to a better and bigger place and it a product of an economic prosperity or because more people were hired ;).
Have you any idea in what time you will be ready to continue working?

Ps: These guys have an "excellent" timing for the things .... when they have less time to lose and they need to work almost 24/7, they makes a move .... just amazing

I can fully understand it will effect everything, In fact in the history of MG games I can imagine it reading 'just when the dev's had fianlly nailed down the code and the ultimate patch was about to be released they had to move office and were never heard of again'.:grin:

What.. so we still have no readme for the latest beta patch and any updates on the found issues is because you were moving to the new office during the past two weeks? How long does it usually takes to move offices in russia? Like how many weeks? And are you posting right now on the go from your phone?

I picture the final scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark where they are rolling the Ark down an aisle in a giant warehouse, to be filed away never to be heard from again until a half-assed sequel staring Shia LaBeouf in a supporting role...

I don't think that we know they were given little warning. WE were given little warning. Could be they knew, and told us today, so the pressure would be off to submit a new patch? Companies don't usually move without having a plan to be up and running again immediately. Bottom line is we don't know the details.

I think they are doing as well as they can in fixing the problems, with what they have to work with. I like this sim, and hope to see improvements as time goes on.

Jokes aside, i decided to give them a chance. Maybe this move is a good notice for us and they will ready to continue working on monday in a better place, more confortable. If this move is consecuence of the necessity of more space because they hired more people, that is definitely a great news for us. More people working on it = faster time they will fix it
B6 could indicate in what time you will be ready to start working on it again?

!

Again no update / autogen fix for the last beta ?????

1C isnt serious dev. 10 months after last patch and still no any official patch solving problems.

Its very easily for the dev add in the title of patch the name: beta, alpha, gama, poor fix ect. - no responsibility for community ect, why? Sorry its only beta, shut up and wait for next very soon :/. How is possible than now IL2 looks like the best example of poor dev. and poor contact with community and example how not to proceed? I remember all series from december 2001 and always the old IL -2, Il2 FB, PF, Peshka, 1946 was for me expample the best sim WWII for offline, online, huge Ubi Forum, nice feedback for community, good patches and good contact with Oleg? Mirror and mirror....

Pity, back to next week, now time for RoF, DCS World and FSX. See You.
