Friday Official Update, June 29, 2012
5 Attachment(s)
Good evening gentlemen!
We have a lot to share with you today, so we’re splitting up the update into two parts. The first part will showcase our work on the sequel. The second will deal with the patch. So here we go! We’ve received quite a few requests, demands and even threats and so we finally give in. Here it is, the mainstay German fighter of the early Eastern Front, the Bf.109F. There are also a few shots of the previously shown LaGG-3 and Il-2 doing some in-engine flying. Hope you enjoy the screenshots. And this is not goodbye yet! |

|
Great looking plane, thanks for all the screenies!
|
Great
|
Yes, very slick looking Friedrich and also very interesting to see some cockpit screenshot. I hope next week we'll see the ooh so sexy MiG-3, am I right B6?;) Nice update.
|
i love Bf109F orgggggggggggg Thanks B6
|
I didn't know there was a sequel! I must have missed that news in the previous Friday updates!
|
Exquisite! Thank you for keeping us informed about the sequel development.
|
Very nice ...... thank B6 .
|
Mother of god! Finally shots of Friedrich, will be fantastic to fly it for sure...
|
First question: With the La-5's last week, it means that this scenerio is covering a larger time period for the sequel than first believed. Will a variant of the P-39 be available to fly in the sequel or can you not confirm it?
Thanks, Eagle |
Looking forward to the patch thread though. It's been a long time coming, hopefully it will announce the release date and include all the things that were switched off to increase the frame rates?
Time will tell :) |
nice screens Blacksix. thx
I apreciate very much cockpit images, its posible post more cockpits???... il2, i-16. Etc. thx. |
Thanks for taking our feedback into account.
|
OMG!!!
since when was there a sequal to CLOD ?????? I have watched every Friday update for weeks and I never knew! Wow they kept that quiet. I really hope it is as good as CLOD is............. I love playing CLOD, its so bug free! Also Im more than happy to wait for over 18 months after they release the sequal for a patch to be released to address any small insignificant teething problems. :-P Bunster Single post on this account + thinly veiled irony = likely chance of someone posting with duplicate accounts with the purpose of trolling, both of which are against the forum rules. I'm off to check your IP, cheers :D |

Tut tut, someone's been a naughty boy indeed! |
Very nice shots of the 109 F. Always was my fav 109. I really like the squared off canopy.
Is that a LAGG cockpit? Looks very nice. The cockpits were always the strongpoint of this sim, very detailed. Scenery is looking better too. More variation in the tree color. They aren't just all yellow anymore. There's some orange ones in there as well as some green bushes. The water textures still need some work but it's all WIP of course :) Looking forward to the patch update later! |
Thanks B6 for the update. It looks stunning. Lokking forward to fly my new baby. :p
|
Nice, now second deal.
|
I also liked the autumn trees etc.
I hope the patch will be out before the sequel :) |
YAH! Cementer!
Ohhh! ARRRGGG! I can feel the pain of that 109 on my cementer already! F just wasn't as sweet looking as the E though. . |

A plea on behalf of the lost.
Thanks for the pictures Black6 but I hope you are remembering those amongst us currently lost in the gaming wilderness whilst we await a re-invigorated Cliffs of Dover.
I've tried helicopters, jets, old sims, new ww1 sims, I've joined 1940s Chicago Mafia, killed thousands of Shuguns and for pity's sake I've even leveled a chuffin Dwarf to 25! I'm now working on my Solitaire win-rate, which is now 17%. In the name of all that is holy save me from this tedium and release a patch. Thank-you Septic. |

The aircraft look very nice indeed.
What I noticed most is the landscape. It's looks much nicer than the last few screenshots. Has there been improvements made there, or have I just imagined that? Looks very nice either way! :) |
Can people please move their discussions to the discussion thread so Black Six isn't overwhelmed with these pages of discussion. He's still learning English so can we try to ease up on him?
Eagle |
If we got a "No jump tonight" thread again, somebody will be burned
|
lol guys keep the speculations level low please!
Thanks for the update B6! Can't wait to fly that sexy 109! Keep going with good job and have a good weekend! |

I love the pics of the '109 in the tall grass, she's soooo sexy.......ooops, gotta go....
|
S!
Thanks for the patch. First impressions: Cleared cache. Applied the patch. Ran the France freeflight and did a low pass on the big city below with about 15fps, which is about 5 fps increase for me. Got online and on ATAG - Axis&Allies. Did a ~30min Stuka mission with no problems (other than getting shot down by flak ;) )... And aside the graphics bug that has been there since release (posted about that in the bug thread). |
Does anyone else think that the 109F looks a bit "plastic" compared to the other aircraft?
I think its just because of the skin, the LaGG looks great in comparison. |
Thanks B6.
|
the 109F
GREAT JOB ON THE EXTERNAL MODEL |
I am not sure but based on Bf-109F-2_06.jpg that 109F's boundary layer seperator ducting is missing from the 3D model.
This was present on the 109F (deleted on 109G) and was a seperate ducting that picted up the boundary layer at the radiator inlet and passed it through above the radiator without disrupting the flow (and thus reducing radiator drag and increasing its effiency) Compare: http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/attachm...6&d=1340978537 http://109lair.hobbyvista.com/techre.../f_airflow.jpg http://109lair.hobbyvista.com/techre...g/f_hrabak.jpg |
Thank you, great patch.
And thank you for the "little" details, like the Jericho horns ;) S! |

hello B6,
Here I have noticed that on screenschot we see that for the Russian aircraft the pilot is the model of the RAF. Can t we have to screen model of Russian pilot in the near future and will he on the other model pilots German to the Russian front? Sorry my English bad taste. |

Russian (and new German pilots for the Eastern front if we'll make it) are not ready, we'll show their later. |

1. A couple of more references to your 3D team in the attachment. 2. Specs sheet for Bf 109F-1/F-2 if you do not already have this (which I doubt) http://kurfurst.org/Performance_test...1F2_DB601N.PDF 3, Also please consider the MG 151/20 option as selectable for 109F-2 instead of MG 151/15. It was done in field (AVIA 40/191 iirc has this information from pilot interrogation, that cannon was changed from 15mm to 20mm version on pilot's request). |
I now, with the Beta Patch, have constant launcher crashes when flying online.
Before installing the patch I had rarely ctd. Where can I send the crash dump files? My system is Vista 64b 6 GB RAM GTX275 |
Just a reminder that this is NOT a discussion thread and some of you are risking infractions here. Please be respectful of one anothers opinions and take discussion to the appropriate thread.
We dont want legitimate questions like the above to be overlooked because you lot are so focused on each others opinions. ;) I'll check with B6 but the last crash dump files were sent here > ishevchenko@1cpublishing.eu Confirmed please send crashdump files and logs to the above. |
For me the patch took away EVERY crash to desktop. I encounter NONE AT ALL NOW - Great work on that one.
Things that bother me become less but are: - More Stuttering since last patch - Missing FSAA-Feature - Still transparent textures in some planes - Ghost dots - Clippingissues - Warping of planes - Missing Damagedecals and effects - Considerable slowdowns when effects appear - I like the increased rudderauthority of the 109 now. However i think its a little overdone. I can slowdown from 500 to 200 in a blink of any eye now. Well, i am nbo real pilot and maybe its correct. But it doesnt "feel" right. Maybe a real pilot can say something about how it feels for him? All in all the last patch was 2 Steps forward and only 1 back. So even if i have less frames and more stuttering an overall improvement. Winger |
Great, Winger. How can I reach this state? I had rare crashes before. But now constant crashes. And nobody seems to know where I can send the crash files to so that they can work for those unfortunates which encounter still crashes.

|
There's a PDF in the game folder with a telephone number. I'd give'em a ring.
|
Thanks for the help, Steuben!
|
Where do i find the complete patch notes?
I'm just returning to the IL-2 community after being away for a couple years. I saw the latest patch is out, but can't find the read me notes for it. Can anyone link it for me?
