alogn with the unpopping there are some lovely graphcis details i woudl like to see featured/fixed in CLod.... other than that graphic wise the game isnt that good, but its good for its price i guess.

im eagerly waitign to test this out, specially on gameplay charectheristics. im willing to give away some of the sim parts if i get a cool and fun gameplay.

Haze, haze, haze

You wouldn't be able to see the cliffs of Dover from france on a clear day in this game.
Also more like arcade.

In defense of War Thunder, it's meant to be played on a wide variety of different rigs, not a handful of monster rigs. I bet it will even perform well on very modest systems. CoD did it the other way around, started out with high-spec demands but are now forced to scale back to dx9. It's all about reaching as many players as possible, not as few as possible. ;)

..I have to confess I have been invited to the closed beta testing but haven't even bothered downloading it yet

Yeah haze and tiny maps what an earth was Oleg thinking of making huge map for us to fly in when he could have made a map 100th of the size and made everyone happy... troll!

ElAurens 05-28-2012 09:53 PM

The water looks terrible.

As does the rest of it.

JG52Krupi 05-28-2012 10:01 PM

No pop ups yeah LMAO 1:22-1:24, the trees are popping!

arthursmedley 05-28-2012 10:23 PM

Oh lordy! If CLoD goes belly up will we really be reduced to this?

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.............. ..............

Feathered_IV 05-28-2012 11:51 PM

Looks like they have plenty of resources. Would be good if they could be convinced there is a market for a more next gen simulation.

ElAurens 05-29-2012 12:26 AM

It would be good if they would make a simulation at all.

That thing is pure arcade as it stands now.

Feathered_IV 05-29-2012 01:32 AM

They make it hard to resist giving it a go when they have A5M, Hudson, Beaufort and sundry other rarities on tap.

kestrel79 05-29-2012 05:47 AM

War Thunder looks promising, but until I know more gameplay details I just don't know. Will it have an ongoing war type thing going for it?

While its cool they do have flyable heavy bombers which is awesome, we still have yet to see any cockpits for them or gunner station views from inside the plane. And since Birds of Steel for consoles didn't have any, I doubt War Thunder will either which sucks for us realism bomber pilot guys. But maybe they are working on them now who knows? I hope so.

PeterPanPan 05-29-2012 11:52 AM

Looks good to me - the more the merrier I say.

Hope they sort out the texture repetition though - 1:51

Excuse me guys but i will never understand how people discuss games from another company in 1C forum, and how they even aloww it.

It is of so bad taste.

Its like if you have a restaurant and i will stand on the door with samples of another restaurant´s food. Believe me you will give me more than a warning.

MB_Avro_UK 05-29-2012 02:52 PM

EAW with trees.

Flanker35M 05-29-2012 06:59 PM

S!

CoD has terrain texture repetition as well if you look, easily spotted. Not comparing these two, both are offering fun for different audiences and that is important.

Ataros 05-30-2012 06:46 PM

Review in Russian by GoHa.Ru but shows some gameplay with mouse controls and outside views.

Nice intro.
Though the aircraft models are very identifiable, they seem to be slightly off.

Plt Off JRB Meaker 06-01-2012 03:27 PM

Not my scene at all I'm afraid this is pure arcade stuff.Great for the kids though.
