Yup. Downloaded. Just tried my new TrackIR 5 out, in all its glorious 6DoFness. A few tweaks, and I'll be trying my luck against the revised AI - a lot less predictable, by all accounts. And no doubt the new flyable Pe-8 will be fun too. Here's 5000 kg of kaboom on its way: :grin:

Amazing that Il-2 is still getting patches while COD struggles.

It's the first patch in a year, CloD isn't even out this long

Must really confound the sycophants that tout IL2 as being dead now that CoD is here.

Looking in the il2 forum there seems to be a bit of a CTD issue going on with 4.11, so maybe make a back up of 4.10 'just in case' until the team (hopefully) release a hotfix.

Installed just fine and ran with no issues. Haven't checked everything out yet. Haven't got time

With all the mods that are out there at the moment, I'm surprised Daidalos hasn't looked into revamping the fx of the game (smoke, tracers, explosions), inserting bullet ricochet and giving it a bit of tidying up to the textures..

Agreed. It could definitely use a bit of tender loving care on the visual side of things. Now that the CEM and AI have been revamped, a bit of attention to some new FX would be quite a treat.

Maybe not, but it seems insensitive to condemn a contribution from someone who passed away.

Anyway I wasn't referring to the IL-4 per se, it's just the idea of implementing new flyables when the game actually needs a visual revamp, that's it.

Personally, as bomber/mud mover, any correctly modelled aircraft are more than welcomed over some of the franken pits in some of the mods.
