Brightspark101's Skins
Hi guys,
I recently got COD on my PC and from playing the old IL-2 games knew that there would be a strong modding community. I found some great templates on the net and got to work making some skins for my favorite plan of this era, the Hurricane (you have to love the underdog). I try and make my skins as authentic as possible and love all the weird and wonderful camo designs some nations who used the Hurricane came up with. So here are a few to get you guys started. *I TAKE NO CREDIT FOR MAKING THE ORIGINAL TEMPLATE, THAT IS ALL DOWN TO 313_Paegas HE DID A GREAT JOB AND ALL THE GLORY BELONGS TO HIM* No1 Squadron JX-T Serial No: P2649 Hurricane Night Fighter http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...quadron003.jpg http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...quadron002.jpg http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...quadron001.jpg LINK TO 2048x2048 JPEG SKIN 1st GvIAP 55 Serial No: BH250 Russian Red Army Hurricane http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...stGvIAP002.jpg http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...stGvIAP001.jpg LINK TO 2048x2048 JPEG SKIN No800 Squadron 7-F Serial No: AE966 Royal Navy Hurricane http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...quadron001.jpg http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...quadron003.jpg http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...quadron002.jpg LINK TO 2048x2048 JPEG SKIN No247 Squadron P Serial No: P2992 Calibration Squadron Hurricane (Used for gun and radar calibration) http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...quadron001.jpg http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...quadron002.jpg http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...quadron003.jpg LINK TO 2048x2048 JPEG SKIN LeLv 32 2 Serial No: HC452 Finnish Air Force Hurricane http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/.../LeLv32003.jpg http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/.../LeLv32002.jpg http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/.../LeLv32001.jpg LINK TO 2048x2048 JPEG SKIN V-7476 2 & 3 Communication Flight RAAF (The only Hurricane to be shipped to the Australian mainland during WW2) http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...mFlight003.jpg http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...mFlight002.jpg http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...mFlight001.jpg LINK TO 2048x2048 JPEG SKIN No127 Squadron EJ-F Serial No: BM987 North African Campaign http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...quadron001.jpg http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...quadron003.jpg http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...quadron002.jpg LINK TO 2048x2048 JPEG SKIN I hope you guys like my skins! Great looking stuff! It's such a shame that the rivets can't be toned down though, but with the black skin it's not seen, brilliant!

Hey gents,
Thanks a lot I'm glad you like them. I should have some more for you tonight! What do you think of the more unusual skins like the Finnish and RAF Calibration skins? Would you like to see more unusual stuff? |

Hey everyone, finished up on these tonight, some more Hurricanes from unusual countries for you! No126 Squadron BV-T Serial No: BW850 RCAF (Royal Canadian Airforce) 126 Squadron operated from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and flew the Hawker Hurricane from April-May 1945. An in-flight photo of BV-T (Serial No: BW850) clearly shows the over painted 'Royal Navy' titles on the side of the aircraft, just above the serial no. http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...quadron002.jpg http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...quadron003.jpg http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...quadron001.jpg LINK TO 2048x2048 JPEG SKIN No1 Esquadrilha de Caça RV-J Serial No: 591 (Portuguese Airforce) The portuguese Airforce used the the Hawker Hurricane after the Second World War from 1948 onwards. Back in August 2011 I posted this:
"Hey there fellow pilots, I have now started flying CloD full time. There is a variety of skins in here of outstanding quality. I am forever greatful to the skinners. You brought us from the Spanish Civil War all the way to Vietnam and everything in between. There was allways so much fun in IL2. Here we are now in the sequel. So I am submitting my humble requests. Wish I could do some photoshop, but I dont have a clue how to skin. Russian Hurricanes Barbarossa Bf-109E3-B Dessert Scheme 109s Dessert Hurricane Dessert Anything really... I hope these are good suggestions that the skinners would be interested in. Have a good flight! " Now I finnally find these and I have to say how greatful I am to the skinners of these wonderfull aircraft. The Desert stuff is just what I wanted and the Finnish Hurri is a bonus even if we have no opponent for it yet. Last but not least Brightspark, YOU ROCK! |
