650 from the factory. Gotta love it. That will be around 1200 at the rear wheels with a few "mods"

whoarmongar 11-17-2011 04:57 AM

Al Gore is the dirty tree hugging Hippie that invented Global Warming!

Who cares what he thinks!

The reason I had to put solar cells on my roof was to off set the carbon emissions of my 1972 Valiant Charger!

Cheers!

Blue?

Sternjaeger II 11-17-2011 11:32 AM

surely great for sound and on a straight line, but does it come with multi-link rear suspension?

no Bliss not 1200,you will loose hp at the rear wheels.you'll have about 520hp at the rear wheels.
Even still thats a lot of power.very impressive car.

No, he thinks it's a skyline engine.;)

That's one monster of a car, that new Shelby.

But I prefer other cars like:

The European within me you see :P

The only Ferrari I really digg.

ElAurens 12-08-2011 01:53 AM

Until Ford sees fit to put something other than a truck axle in the rear of the Mustang, one will not grace my garage.

I want to like it, but the cheap interior appointments and the crude rear suspension just wont get by my automotive firewall, I don't care how fast it is.

Nothing better for a drag car than a ford 9 inch.
Hell, I have one in my Camaro.

ElAurens 12-08-2011 02:19 AM

I don't want a drag racing car.

Too one dimensional.

I've been a sports car/road racing kind of guy since I was 16, oh so long ago, hence I prefer cars with nimble handling and well balanced chassis that can stop and turn as well, or better, than they accelerate.

Just my personal preference. One of my friends used to run an alcohol dragster, and now he is a Porsche collector, another of my friends is a Porsche Club/BMW Club/etc... instructor, who is all crazy over drag racing.

It's all good fun, but I just prefer sports cars. I'd like to purchase a domestic car, but Detroit keeps letting me down.

CWMV 12-08-2011 03:30 AM

For sure, if you want a sports car our home grown companies are a big letdown. Its sad too I think pnontiac and Saturn were on to something with the solstice.

Motor trend threw an LS7 into one...god almighty.
