new flight sim - Aces High
For those of you who haven't seen this yet......
http://iceberg-interactive.com/games...aces-high.html |
a bit of competition is always good.
http://www.iceberg-interactive.com/i..._p38's.jpg Poly count looks fairly low, like very early IL2. Cheers! |
this sim has been around for over 10 years they just keep getting bought by some one every 3 years.
It's a very complex sim and you pay for the servers and maps. WWIIMMO |

Used to play it since 2000..after 8-9 years enough. Not a bad product but got a bit repetitive in the long run. Graphics maybe not the hottest in the block but otherwise a solid product. |
Modem dialup and a DX 9 64 meg video card.
|
It will get better................when it's patched.
|
i never fly online so i'm not interested :)

I loved base raping with 30+ panzers. You see the poor guys spawning some spit 30 meters away, only to be greated with a salvo of 75mm shells, from 4-5 tanks. :P
I was playing until about 2006. |

some of the plane models are old but they are continuously updating them to more modern standards they just updated the p40 series, while adding a new variant, (completely redoing the model to updated standard...the new planes are of a higher standard than the older ones....right now they are voting for new plane additions, and i think the me410 and the yak3? are the last two finalists... it has a free trial so its at least worth trying out and if you are really smart like me im sure you can figure out the way to get unlimited free trial.... |

Aces High was fun in the it had vehicles and boats to play around with.
The most fun I had was cruising around in a PT boat and manning the 20 and 40mm guns shooting at planes as they flew by. The best feature of this was manning a single gun and the other guns on the boat that could shoot at your aiming point also fired. |

Oh man, I remember the big PT boat fights we used to get when two enemy carrier task forces would get close to eachother or close to some ports.:-P Dozens of PT boats involved, The 5 inch guns were having a field day blowing them up, the water was boiling with torpedos. When the CV's would get within range then you had both sides spawning boats everywhere. I would sometimes spawn the LVT4 vechicle in the water among the boats. I had quite a few sorties with over 50 kills in LVT4 during those boat fights. Good times. |
It is a game from a quality of some years ago...
I know it is very hard to say this but true. |

ok first the aces high people stole from me, they suspended one of my accounts...so in a sense i was forced to use my methods in order to get my moneys worth back.....so they stole from me by failing to provide the service for the allotted time that i had paid for.... imagine you paid someone to mow your lawn..and you pay them in advance for their services...now imagine you did something that theydidnt like (say you left lawn chairs on your lawn one day) and that person decides that you are no longer their customer and they refuse to provide a service for you simply because you did something that they didnt like....hmmm that would be akin to STEALING...but yea im the bad guy since i did it second in order to recoup my losses...yes its not the corporations who steal from customers through fees and other 'penalties' its the people who are bad.... maybe you should get mad at your bank from stealing from you....(you give bank you money, they charge you fees if you dont meet certain monthly criteria, for me its having a certain amount in your acct, OR using the debit card X number of times a month) so the bank gets to LOAN MY money out to people at an interest rate 16-20 times the interest rate that i get....yet they still feel the need to fleece their customers.....get a grip you moron...I am not the thief....i am not the one who through color of law (irs) gets to steal from millions every year....i am the bag guy even though the us govt forces people to give up 1/3 of their yearly earnings....i mean how is this any different from working for the govt for 3-4 months out of the year digging ditches or what not...so whydont you get mad at the REAL thieves.... lol a low life thief...what ever i find it hard to believe that you had never taken anything with out permission that didnt belong to you...even something small....but you are just another retarded hypocrite, i guess cuz im not hiding behind a corporation or pseudo govt corporation (irs, federal reserve) i guess that makes me a lowlife thief...its funny the bank robber who steals maybe a few hundred thousand from a bank is demonized and hated, but the corporate white collar criminals who steal MUCH MUCH MORE, well they are ignored and given no consequences for their crimes, even though the scope of their crimes are on a much larger scale... go take some basic criminal justice classes and learn some stuff fool... |
imagine you paid someone to mow your lawn..and you pay them in advance for their services...now imagine you did something that they didn't like (say ...you punching them in the face) and that person decides that you are psychotic and no longer their customer and they refuse to provide a service for you simply because you did something that they didnt like....hmmm that would be akin to JUSTICE
you didn't give any mention of why the account was susspended. |
Quote:
again you are just another retard here trying to make this something its not....why would anyone punch someone in the face, unless of course they are a retard like you... also if oyu want justice to take it to a court and get restitution... you dont go back on a contract...but then again with all the idiot americans running around breaking their marriage contracts like they are written on toilet paper, im not surprised here...nothing but a bunch of hypocrite fools.... are you saying that if i or anyone else thinks that someone is crazy, we can violate contracts and do what ever else we think is justified.... o i think that my bank is crazy im going to go back on my mortgage...after all i think they are psychotic...i mean what kind of normal person would kick families out of their homes, banks must be psychotic... |

Too bad it has to be paid to play online. I've had massive battles online in Aces High. Bashing up the fields and defenses, flying Caps overhead. Tanks and MAA driving towards the field and flying the Goons to drop paras to capture the field. Massive land, sea and airbattles with lot's of players online and almost no lag.

The guys from htc do have a habit of baning acounts of people that say something bad about their game, flight model, or even just for posting screenshots from other sims. I got suspended from the forum for posting few Il-2 shots. I was shocked they were so narrow minded.
I got tired of all the bullshit in2006 and closed my acount. I didn't mind the 15 bucks a month, but with the stupid attitude they had, why would I give them any money? I'm not surprised some people want to give them the shaft. |

Well after your little tirade of random irrelevant nutjob BS I am not suprised you got yourself banned, you do seem to be rather unstable! From what Jaws says they do seem to be a bit hot on the ban stick, I personally never had a problem!
It is generally accepted as poor form to post on a game forum and start telling everyone How you hack/pirate/cheat game software, even if it does not directly relate to the game Promoted by the forum, so you have poor form or are just a simple thieving idiot, the choice is yours! Btw, did you pay for your copy of CloD? Just wondering! Cheers Craig Craig |

so its ok for a company that has already been paid for a service to take away, or withhold that service?? but its not ok for me to recoup my losses from such an event occurring?? i mean they had the choice to reimburse me they choose not to so i did the next best thing, WITHOUT resorting to violence... we hold each other to higher standards but not the people who are in positions of power.... i pay for things that are worth supporting....which means i did buy clod...however i dont buy movies cuz usually american movies are crap made for the stupid lowest common denominator...just look at the way they entertain and advertise to americans, its as if they are all retarded children who must be spoon fed emotions...they dont even advertise to americans anymore all they do is manipulate the viewers emotional state, in an attempt to get the viewer to feel that they NEED their product... |
I'm more of the thieving idiot kind myself
|
I would have gotten into it, but I only had time to play one game and Mig Alley
won out. http://www.interactive.org/images/ga...g-Alley_lg.jpg Quote:

I used to play the more strategic element of the game flying bombers and as such got no end of insults from some of the players there who hated the fact I flew bombers even though I used to try and make things realistic with large formations and escort to take out strategic targets rather than their beloved airfields. It seemed fair game in the forums for members to berate those who flew bombers despite them being an integral part of the game along with the strategy employed in the main arena. It seemed sometimes this vocal minority 'had the ear' of the designers because they seemed to want to make it harder and harder for those who liked to fly bombers to actually return to base from a sortie, it was like they liked the idea of players flying bombers but only to line up the targets for a duck shoot for the rest of the population. Some gameplay decisions started to kill enthusiasm but the final nail in the coffin for me was the arena caps. In US friendly time zones I suppose it wasn't such an issue but for Euro time zones, or in fact any time outside US prime time the arena caps meant the numbers rarely climbed higher than 100 and often sat around 60 players. At the time I was also playing IL-2 offline and enjoyed what I felt were better flight characteristics and graphics. Before long I came to to conclusion I may as well fly IL-2 for free online and get not far off the kind of numbers I was getting online in Aces High where I had to pay a subscription. |
