I listen to a lot of music when playing games but never in flight sims. I don't know why either just never occurs to me to try when I load it up.

if in the next patch we have a pilot in the cockpit, with a radio on his lap, then i'll listen to some 40's music.
|
"Sigh for a Merlin"
|
i listen to cries of wives who will not see their husbands, to children wailing in the streets, the crackling groan of the flames tired of seeking sustenance from the bare stone.
my ears hear the hiss of the now dead radio, and the depths of darkness in a place where the living cannot see, I hear sighs of the souls waiting across the river. And they say to me, "Welcome, brother." oh you're talking in game. Realistic db 605 and merlins, plus the sound of real brownings, MG's, ok, in reality I play stuff like alice d, to chemical brothers, to jimmy eat world to blacksheep, to tribe called quest to eminem, to metallica to nirvana, |
Sounds of Silence, depends on server ... ...;-)

i find it hard to fit music in a flight sim, but sometimes i go with something like this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2etoYK9kR30 it has that unpredictable tone that suits this kind of action well |

But only if you're dangerous |
Rammstein when flying German aircraft certainly sets the mood.
But usually nothing but game audio. CS. :) |
Erich Wolfgang Korngold ...Max Steiner etc.!
|
This video wasn't mine originally but I added the music and the pics at the end. Classical always classical. In my opinion you get the rush and the sadness all in one from many pieces of classical music. It's great for videos.

... what to listen when flying ... ?
... well, when I fly for the Germans, how about that:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NTE0...eature=related or this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXKHc...eature=related if flying for the Brits, I like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHcunREYzNY :) |
I used to listen to alot of music on long missions in 1946. Not so much with Cliff of Dover.. It just sounds so much better! But when I did I listened to alot of death metal: Sybreed, Soilwork, In Flames(old stuff), Darkane, Evergrey etc etc...
I like the soundtrack idea though! I have a few on my hard drive I might give a go. Mostly all Hans Zimmer stuff. |
Jazz mainly. Nina (even remix are good), Billy, Ella, Gil Evans, Coltrane...
Yeah you'd get it: I am probably singing (terribly) a love song why I am shooting at your plane. Don't take it personal ;) |
Hans Zimmer's tracks, The Crystal Method, sometimes Within Temptation :D
