CTD and screen freeze...
Worth a shot asking I guess:
Although the game runs relatively well framerate-wise, it does crash very often. Either an outright CTD, or more often, a screen freeze where I can still hear sounds and "play" the game. ---------------------------- Asus G74S "Republic of Gamers" laptop Intel Core i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz Nvidia GTX 560M 2 GB 8GB DDR3 1TB hard drive Windows 7 Home Premium 64 All the latest drivers, dxdiag shows dx11 I tried different compatibility modes - same deal. Any ideas? |
happens to me on every mission! I havent been able to finish one single mission in 3 months.
System I-5 570 Win 7 32 bit 4 gigs of ram Nvidia GTX 280 |
I have a GTX285 always ctd, frezze's and blue screens play for a few mins and
all the above would happen. What i did was reduce all three gpu's clocks, and it never happen again. Its worth a try. |

Silly question, but how do I go about reducing my gpu clocks? Rather illiterate when it comes to the more complicated PC stuff. |
After beta patch i got frequently CTDs. I got GTX 280. What could be a reason of these?
Anyone from you tried reinstall game? |

When this patch was released I accidently deleted all files via steam...So i had to wait while it downloaded the game again, then i installed Beta patch so my game was fresh and clean if you like I have the launcher crash now and didnt before... It happens everygame more or less too |
So it is probably new CTD bug?
All my games after patch was crashed more or less quickly. Dunno how it was before beta patch beacuse i got long pause. |

I was having a lot of crashes with the 'display driver has stopped responding but has recovered' message and I must have spent hours trying suggested fixes, older driver sets, lower settings, you name it.
What has worked for me is changing My config .ini in the 1C softclub folder. Under the [window] section the Render line was 'D3D10_0'. I have changed this to 'D3D10_1'. There is a thread somewhere that had the suggestion to change this setting but it looks like it works for some and not for others. It's quick to try and makes no difference to either performance or graphics quality but I haven't had a driver crash since. |
I don't find the Thread... but i've had stutters, too while dogfighting with multiple contacts.
I tried the solution to start Cliffs of Dover with the launcher.exe in the steam Il2 folder and it works much better, more FPS and only sometimes some stutters occurs, but not as often as before. Give it a try ;) Cheers |
Have the game.. the only thing that doesn't meet the listed specs is the fact that I have DDR2 and not DDR3 ram.
I can fly some quick and single missions, while other missions freeze either during loadup, or as it's reached the 100% mark on the loading bar. I've also tried to make some static environments with one Bf109 marked as player aircraft so that I can push pause when I'm close and use the external view as a camera to check out what I've built, but none of the missions I've created have past the 100% mark. These "missions" I've created only have a half dozen static vehicles and one "player aircraft" Bf109. The last update I have is the October 17th update. (1.05) |
Yup Cashes or freezes after 20-to 30 mins everytime ....
Less frequent with last Beta. |
Same here,
After 20 to 30 minuts, baf, launcher doesn't respond anymore. Pretty frustrating... Q6600 stock 2.4 WIN 7 32 bit 4 GIG Gefore 560 ti 1 GB 258.62 |
