THIS POST HAS BEEN REPORTED!

JG52Krupi 07-22-2011 10:33 AM

Bunch of @&£?!& :D

Hoping for some good news today!

Ataros 07-22-2011 10:47 AM

Some people prefer to expect unlikely events only to have a reason to SUFFER and complain about it later.

The update was only 3 days ago making another one impossible today.

No upcoming beta patch was mentioned in the update making any patch extremely unlikely today.

Let's hope for the best ) I want 2 updates and 3 patches every Friday ))) Any hope or expectation is legal where I live ))

Cheers!

going to have to wait another 2-4 weeks realisticly for that new sound engine to materialise "i think".

The longer the wait the better the patches !

Dano 07-22-2011 11:49 AM

Luthier did say it was progressing faster than expected, we could always be in line for some beta testing of it soon :D

Without a trace of melodrama, I'd say wait until Christmas or slightly beyond. Nearly a decade of experience with MG release estimates always makes me put an extra 4-6 months on top of any announcement.

4-6 months could be an exageration, just an opinion. But this topic you speak of is very realistic. We have to expect what happened before regards development cycles. so that means il2 all over again and the good and bad that comes with it. its not so bad tbh. we always expect more as we are westerners. this time around we have to understand how 1C operate. We will get there just after 1C get there.

JG53Frankyboy 07-22-2011 12:25 PM

there is more than the soundengine to fix IMHO.

So, patches without soundfix are also welcomed.......................

Hi, this is my first post, i´m from Argentina and i´m very glad with this GAME (in spite of the knowed bugs).
I have an restlessness about the "Il-2 cycle" ... this is their fourth or fifth sim game (considering the original, then PF and 1946), they don´t learnt anything with those? they crash again with the same problems? (release the game in alpha/beta fully of bugs and then in the lapsus of 1-2 years, they "finish" the game) ... well, the man is the only animal who stumbles twice with the same rock ...

Regards

just so you know I am preempting a problem between you (david) and tree as i read what tree wrote before it got deleted and i belive it was not rude or whining etc.

There are some very spitful people here who mascarade as pro IL2 but really they are just as bad as the so called whiners they start fights with.
So I'm asking you out of politeness to not pick a fight to try to get people banned, hiding behind supposed defence of IL2 is no excuse for it (just how it appears nothing personal)

lol, I think he means me, the biggest problem here is the fact the game is in very poor shape, and I can say with my hand on heart that I had nothing to do with that, apart from pointing out at the dev stage that it would be.

That's pretty funny. The people who are causing the problems, and in some cases have been BANNED multiple times, think I am the problem. Seriously, you people crack me up.

BTW, I LOVE the new rules. I think they should be even stricter.

Thats great mate glad you managed to get it now. Dont you like it loads, i remember you saying you would love it no matter what.

Also I'm not on a high horse, if you remember you regarded me in the past as being below your level, now you seem to believe you think im feeling the opposite of myslef, but my message has always been the same to you david, I just think you are plain rude and look to engage yourself in challenging conversations with others to entertain yourself, and appear to thrive on causing discourse amoungst people you deem as being below you.

This is not me being rude, this is my sentiments to your outrageous comments regarding me asking you to be polite and not cause a scene.

What is going on?

THIS POST HAS BEEN REPORTED NOTICE

Well, everytime we ban someone we get all the well-meaning buddies and the banned poster whining about MODS being unfair and abusive.

It a lot of trouble writing nice PM messages cajoling malcontents to behave, change their attitude, respect other posters, etc. Putting this notice in postings is very easy to do and notifys all readers.

MODS are trying to inform other posters of who the trouble makers are. There should be no argument about the number of reported posting we get daily as well. When MODS take action no explanation will be necessary when members are banned.

Everyone is fast learning who the troublemakers are, if they already had a good idea. The little notices in their postings are very informative.

Also, when you see the notice in a posting you will immediately know it has no content for you to waste your time reading. :-P

We will see how this works. Just scroll through this thread and you'll get a fair idea of the abuse, and it would seem... mostly the same people.

I've been on almost every flight sims forums off and on for years...since 2001 on practically all air sim sites, Ubisoft,netwings,sim-outhouse,simhq,frugals,etc. I am embarrased to say I was banned for 2 weeks one time in all those years on an open discussion forums for making a political statement.

I have tried to be a part of every community, sharing ideas, lifting other posters up and basically being a friend.

Being banned to me is an embarrassment.

Maybe you should tell me what describes the behaviour we are constantly viewing?

Tell me, what describes your attitudes and expressions. What describes it best... I will be glad to use other words or expressions. I basically call a spade a spade, but verbal correctness does have merits.

You can tell me what it is and I'll think on it.

Here definitions of both words FYI:

I have tried to be a part of every community, sharing ideas, lifting other posters up and basically being a friend.

Being banned to me is an embarrassment.

Well if the Romans had a forum Jesus would have had a few bans.

Trouble maker i disagree with Nearmiss,

malcontent....

–adjective
1.
not satisfied or content with currently prevailing conditions or circumstances.
2.
dissatisfied with the existing government, administration, system, etc.
–noun
3.
a malcontent person, especially one who is chronically discontented or dissatisfied.

Pretty much sums up how i feel about the development of COD, thanks Nearmiss.

Very poor equation.

Either you're saying you are Jesus or something like him.

Or that it's good to be a criminal and in jail, because the authorities noticed you then.

Don't know which idea is worse.

Anyways, one thing is for sure to me: I don't envy you Nearmiss, standing in the first line here. S! to you.

Can someone explain to me why the NA release was delayed until the 19th if there hasn't been a update in nearly a month, it seems odd .... I guess one can only assume they were planning a patch before the 19th.
I'm enjoying the Sim and I'll enjoy it more over time I'm sure

The US release was probably delayed to fix performance issues. There was about 3 patches before the US release that greatly improved performance and fixed bugs. I'm sure they are working on more patches and will have them available as fast as humanly possible, but its going to take many more months of patches to fix all the bugs and add missing features. In the mean time there is plenty of content to learn and enjoy, while waiting.

Is there always a Beta before the actual patch comes out?

We haven't seen a Beta for this upcoming fix, correct.

Luthier stopped by two or three days ago saying all is well and they are working on the sim. Not sure what more he can tell you. He has to be very carefull what he says in particular as its immediatly taken as a promise written in blood.

I know when he stopped, don't need to remind us, thanks, and wasn't 3 days ago, was 22 days ago, when he just posted the team's pictures. The 3 days ago post was just a welcome to the US customers, and a "no more news".....

Nothing odd. After last patch they started preparing Clod for NA release boxing the current version while working on an upcoming patch for all that we'll prolly see within a couple of weeks.
You see, no reason to release a different version to NA and at the same time a patch for all the rest.

Normal procedure!

Now go fly! :-P

Bliss!

Talking of Bliss (SYN_BLiss) I was on the Syndicate server last night. Over 50 people on there all having a great time.

The servers seem to be warming up a bit following the US release. Clearly many people are able to run CoD on a level that is acceptable for the time being.
