Things to do when bored.....

Ok, everyone's done the Tower Bridge thing, but if someone can do do it inverted with full CEM in a brit plane they get a 'yaheeeey'.

Video evidence only please, and strictly no 109's.

I tried this about 30 times and managed it once, but of course that was the time when fraps wasn't running!

I've got a feeling it'd be easier with my old stick, and if someone says they did it with a 3D pro, I'm selling my G940.

A 3D Pro, you say?

(Yes I actually have one, but no good way to use it on the PC other than a terrible $8 USB adapter. I fly with a modded X52 these days)

LoBiSoMeM 07-18-2011 11:56 PM

I do it in the first try, with my modded TM16000M, the best stick for WWII sims ever made by an human hand:

Really easy this stunt... Anything else? Gimme my 'yaheeeey'!!! :)

The engine stutters a lot! But I stayed just few seconds inverted and go easy in pulling neg Gs... And you need to beggin the inverted flight with some speed, so the prop will keep spinning... I was full throttle all the flight recorded, listen how the engine almost stop running...

It's an impressive bit of kit, but I'm not as happy with it as I think I should be, if that makes sense. The stick isn't smooth, it kinda jerks and sticks.

I suppose it's all about setting it up both with the logitech software and the in-game sensitivities, but I can't seem to find the right balance.:(

Under maybe is too hard to recover after the passing... Will try!

recoilfx 07-19-2011 02:10 PM

Already passed under the bridge inverted multiple times. Still havn't gotten around to passing multiple bridges inverted though.

The trick is to get enough speed (so you still have elevator authority when engine is cut out and the lift vector is working against you), and full negative elevator trim.

May I acquaint you to the ReversalBug? Did you flash the firmware update from December 2010? This does resolve the issue on elevator and aileron - for throttle, pedals, trims, etc. you've to mod it (see here and here)

Believe me, it's worth it.

Thanks Art. Yep, I updated the firmware the day it arrived. It's not so much the reversal bug as the big sloppy zone, even with centring spring enabled and the notchy feel of the stick when the FFB kicks in. It's so bad I'm not even sure if its faulty or not.

Could be, could really be... I don't believe to have something even remotly similiar with mine. But this passes the limits of textual communication - we would have to put them side by side and compare haptically... haptually?, hapticly? - well, however: by hands on.

The second link, if that comes to pass, might give an opportunity

YAHEEEEEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a feeling you'd come good mate. Top result!

Notice you have that annoying engine blip bug in track replay too.

Bummer, eh?

But again, YAHEEEEEY!!!!!

Fluid gameplay too! Can you post your VIDEO settings here? Recorder with FRAPS? :)

recoilfx 07-19-2011 11:44 PM

Everything on max, except:
Building - High
Texture - High.

SSAO & Anti Epilepsy off
VSYNC on

I wouldn't call it smooth though - if you look closely you can definitely see the jitters, it feels a lot of pronounced while playing. Recorded by MSI Afterburner.

TBH thats not bad for london, or were you talking about your performance in general.

Jatta Raso 07-21-2011 12:23 AM

came up late but nonetheless ;); it's 3rd attempt in a row, captured with CoD recorder as the free version of Fraps wasn't working, went in with the track recorder anyway - no view edit
no sound as video recorder of CoD gave me a headache (track player also CTD every 2nd play, oh well ) so you'll have to take my word for it on CEM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hHkF...el_video_title

this time i really had a hell of a lot of fun with CoD - sorry for the crappy quality:mrgreen:

ATAG_Dutch 07-21-2011 12:40 AM

Hmmm..............

Have to relegate you to a small print 'yaheeeey' there Jatta! :)

Shame all the bugs let you down mate. :(

Oh, what the hell!

YAHEEEEY!!!!

Nice one mate. :)
