Luthier, July 19th Patch

Luthier,

I would imagine that the next patch will come with the July 19th U.S. release. I think it would be nice to know what will be included. Personally, I would rather see the long list of problems fixed (Radio Commands, FM, etc) rather than a new ship or model of existing 109.

Thanks

If the DVD box is going to be on the shelves on July 19th(Amazon,Bestbuy,Overstock) I would expect the disk to go gold at least a week before. So that gives about 2 weeks to solve all the problems.I do not think that is going to happen.

Not a chance will they fix everything by then...not in a million years

That's why I think it would be good to know what they can fix in that time. I also think it would be good for potential customers to see what they can expect since it might make them feel more confident about buying.

Insuber 06-28-2011 02:43 PM

What I cannot really understand is the complete lack of communication = marketing around CloD. I don't speak about this forum only: as many others already said, a dedicated website would be the easiest way to keep informed past and future customers.

Good product with bad com = failure. Bad product with good com = success. Bad product + bad com = ...

Ze-Jamz 06-28-2011 02:54 PM

What i dont get it how can they RE-introduce the same problems which they have already fixed once...what the hell are they doing.

MP sound Bug
Stutters
Failed server authentication MSG's AGAIN..after these were fixed last patch (so im guessing its not Steam!)

Yes the FPS is increasing for most but it doesnt mean $**t if they keep bringing back new problems...and NO this didnt happen in Il2 before anyone says it

Communicate DEVS! it aint hard

jamesdietz 06-28-2011 03:12 PM

FPS...just solve low FPS...please....

pupaxx 06-28-2011 03:18 PM

I think Clod will be totally reworked, component after component; so we'll have a mature product not before than 1 year.

furbs 06-28-2011 04:33 PM

Luthier is not listening.

omgclod 06-28-2011 04:50 PM

Please fix problems with crashing CloD.

This to me seems a realistic view which I share.
If they keep at it it will get better in time, but don't expect short time wonders.

And where will they get the funds to work on this for another year?

Well Steam can introduce some bizarre problems, just last night I tried the latest patch and my track IR would not lunch. It would crash every time I lunched it. So I turned of "Cloud Synch" in Steam and behold... everything works...

Lol what a crock...

I cant believe they have left it the way it is....seriously with all the BS about being kept updated and things like the CoD website... anyone would think it takes days/weeks to post an update on a forum or to update a website with content as to promote your product and keep the paying public 'slightly' happy..

Try launching it instead of feeding it.

...from Official coD site..... "For all of you encountering issues with the game, we strongly encourage you to visit 1C’s European forum, where Ilya is posting daily updates on the situation and useful tips to deal with perfomance issues:"

i have many strange things happen with my game and this stupid steam cloud thing.
track ir not centering anymore in game, loadout settings disappearing suddenly and also controlfiles not working anymore.
i have it enabled because luthier was suggesting it, to have all files up to date, but honestly it makes things worse than good.i think i will disable it again.

Yes, same here. I've found the best way is to save the control settings (manually or in game) and if you want to get the current .ini files then delete them from your system and verify integrity in steam. You can then restore the backed up control settings either manually or in game.

I have the same issues sometimes, only I always disable it after a patch.

By mugging any Americans that haven't bothered to read the forums...
If you think this place is bad now, wait until the day after the American release!

Yeah, Team Fanboy will have their hands full trying to excuse all the faults of the game. Unfortunately though, I don't expect a big rush to the forums unless they actually do some marketing for the game this time around. Deep inside my dark soul there is a small light of hope that hopes that the game does well which will enable luthier to hire some competent programmers and sort things out.
