I'll take a look when I get back from that dreaded place called work , if nobody reply's beforehand :-x , could do with having my kit installed here :)

Is that the only layer you have?? you dont have a "panel layer"?.

EDIT:

Nmind found one.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-q.../s512/MKIa.jpg

Full size can be found here:
http://cliffsofdover.fr/skin2.php?re...faut&trie=date

Download it and layer it over your skin in photoshop, then adjust its opacity down to about 70-80 % should do it, till you see you skin coming through, you should now have a better idea of how the panels are laid out.

Hi Doc. Use this: Panel_Finder_2048x2048.jpg
Maybe u find that areas. Just a note. In il-2 sins, sometimes only one pixes was the color, for example Bf 109 propeller color was only one little pixel :) Is here possibly like this.

Shado 06-16-2011 11:46 AM

Shado 06-16-2011 12:12 PM

Blimey, you no speaky Franglaise??
Try this
http://cliffsofdover.fr/Skins/Spitfi...131_defaut.jpg

You will end up looking something like this. (though yours will be grey).

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-q.../s800/MKIa.jpg

You can clearly see how the panels are laid out and can make your adjustments as need be to tidying up the fuselage, as for the cockpit you should use the panel finder that tom posted, just put it in you skins/spitfire folder and select it in FMB as the skin, make a note of the colour and part of the number that appears on the cockpit if possible and your should be able to track down on the skin where it it, as to the orientation of the cockpit thats another matter.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-6...s800/MKIab.jpg

At least you know the cockpit is on a grey bit LOL :)

Replace one of the skins with this jpg. Better if u make screenshots, or tasking between cod and ps.
(Im didnt use under COD, just il2, but the method is same :) )

Download from french page:
click on the boxes, then click on the "Télécharger vos skins" (upper right corner of the page). After u see the list of the choosen templates, u can open or DL them.

Well, the colour chart is no good for the frame round the cockpit, because you cant see the number, so thats no go, so i still cant find it

Shado 06-16-2011 02:00 PM

i will have look when i get home it's probably a little slither alongside one of the wings or something you could try painting different coloured lines across the skin and see if it falls on the cockpit area, long winded I know :)

If u know the color, you know the column where he may be. If turn with 90 degrees the picture, you obtain the row then. Copy all of this all picture into this square if this is not rather narrow, like this from 2-3 steps you find very tiny places

Doc_uk 06-17-2011 08:01 AM

Found it, on the color chart its pink 181-182 somewere in there

Shado 06-17-2011 10:12 AM

Your getting warmer, found at least three places on the chart, top right pink, middle green and left column pink...........Battleships anyone.

close, close :)
Then u can put into Photoshop, to separate layers to skin and panel finder, select that square, and colour all possible place with an other colour in the skin. No need panel finder anymore.

Shado 06-17-2011 10:39 AM

Ok :)

I tried to say, if you know the square number, you know its position (181-182 in this jpg right?), you can narrow it the search in Photoshop.
like this
and this

OR, you just paint different colors all possible areas.
