question is... WHAT THE HELL CANNOLI MEANS?!?! It's not an italian word you know? lol

Oh, i forgot... i play for fun and because i like airplanes and how bop is designed. I used to fly in real too, ( sail plane, gliders ) and i've been in love with planes since i was a child. Always loved flying simulator and airplane related games.

Not really chasing for "honor" or any particular "human challenge" through a ps3 game, but, of course, i appreciate fair play and i tend to fly fair too. take it easy! :D

What is it that we fight for you ask? What we sim players fight for is honor, friendship, and the trill of the chase! That bitter sweet taste of a challenge; an event that makes you feel the pounding in your chest, that very feeling which makes you feel alive. That very feeling makes you fight both tooth and nail to the bitter very end; with honor!

We give them hell before we die, but we do so with honor need I say so again! So bail if someone has gotten the best of you and don't crash well that is. . . . if your a true sim Player. I do and I am the one who mostly flies the FW 190 D-9 in this game.

The individuals who are the embodiment of the simulation game type are . . . . First of all my dearest friend -->Themeistore<--, Olife- Aka mylife lol, Jrhoody1<-- my arch nemesis lol jk JR, vdomini <--My Italian cannoli, and the P-51 club. These people are the embodiment of what I fight for!

WHAT IS YOURS?

I fly to FLAME you my friend! ;-)

No, seriously... I do this game because I love the warbirds, theire ingenuity and the estetics of an era in aviation. And because BoP is geniously made with love, the majority of the players great guys and the moves they do inspire me to try to follow - and fire! In short... 4 fun!

My personal goal is to master each end every fighter to the best of theire and my abilities. I have to admit I am not a very good bomberjock - so I have limited my ambitions to handle the fighters.

Have to correct you Black; I LOVE to see whatever bird you try to avoid my rounds in burst in to flames! And the little helpless man in the parachute... ;-)

The thrill of the chase, and that split second of doubt because your unsure if the silouhette in your sights is an enemy 109 or a friendly Hurricane. Before opening up with all barrels and then seeing that 109 go down in flames over the English channel.

And also the fact that even though the game on consoles isnt cross platform, the IL2 community on the forums is still strong and friendly with the ever familiar faces sticking around and the occasional new face showing up.

But lets not forget the old dogs, the guys who were here from the start who are no longer gracing this forum, who have moved on to pastures new.

I have always loved flying from an early age , my father was a member of the local flying club , i remember when he first went solo he took me up with him in a ceesna and he let me take the controls for a few minutes (i was only 8 years old) WOW it was amazing . Then he got one of his friends to take me up to show me some moves we did loops rolls corkscrews that was me hooked. For myself sim is now the only mode i like because its the only mode were you can say (where the #$%@ did he go and where the #$%@ did he come from)plus its the most challenging and i do like a challenge and i'd like to thank Qblack for taking me under his wing and teaching me.

Very well said Olife- we who enjoy sim (as well as many other difficulty settings) have enjoyed aeronautics! Heck I know everyone who plays this game has had some deep and profound fascination with flight; and it does show with it's following in the multilayer venue. Like I said before what you believe is what I strive for.

I have always loved the old warbirds (no honor or merit in an AIM-9 Sidewinder). Fly and search the enemy with your own eyes, distinguish the silhouette, Enemy or friend?. Pursue your enemies, focus on your sight and see how your bursts torn his fuselage.

Before, fly the man, not the machine.

To play, the console seem me easier than the computer, so when I knew it would released an Il-2 for PS3, I didn´t doubt.

I have gradually come to know the BOP comunity, and learned to respect; enyoiying their company in the air, as enemies or friends.

Olife, Themeistor, JOED70, MQ59, QBlackdeathQ, and the rest of the pilots, Thanks thanks for the good moments that I enjoy with you.
You plays with honor. not bomb or rocket the CTA or choose a B17 or a Me163 on BBE or DM.

because many years ago i would sit on the floor...a mustang in one hand, a 109 in the other. the television series 12 o'clock high provided the black and white backdrop and mood music. the b17s were headed to berlin and the flak suddenly stopped. from the tv blared " Bandits 3 o'clock!!" from my mouth came a mishmash of noises vaguely resembling winding engines and stuccato machineguns. as my hand flailed about..the mustang always besting the evil hun, the bigger story was what my imagination was conjuring up. it was not visions of 2 plastic toys in a dance but me in the cockpit looking through the gunsite...pulling the trigger and seeing the tracers find their mark. i will get those bombers to berlin and back safely and always did. well as everything else days pass and life makes turns and somethings get lost... on occasion many years later some luckily get refound. and i can again sit on the floor and watch as someone took my imagination and put in on a screen infront of me to enjoy...where i do get to look through the gunsite and i do get to pull the trigger. i loved it at 5 and i love it now...and probably will never stop.
