What about a better simulation?

The graphic is wonderful, the story is very good and the flight model are accurate. Nevertheless the simulation is a little poor. No tail wheel block, no radio, no description of cockpits...
is it possible to improve these features?

CrazySchmidt 06-05-2011 10:18 AM

LOL... You are kidding right?

Lol!!!

It means "Load of Liquor". The British pilots were renowned for drinking a pint or two before going up to face the Hun.

Dont listen to them, LoL means Load of Lies.

I don't understand the problem. My question was: is it possible to improve this really wonderful simulation by including the radio commands, tailwheel and a little more of pdf file?

in time these issues will be adressed I'm sure, as for tailwheel I believe none of the stock aircraft had a locking tailwheel in real life.

bob_baer 06-05-2011 12:39 PM

I think tailwheel block is mandatory with a "non tricycle" gear in a real plane. Combat flight simulator 3 had this feature.

bongodriver 06-05-2011 12:56 PM

I can assure you it is not mandatory....or all the taildraggers I fly are 'broken'

Erm....with all respect, just because 'Combat flight sim 3'has this feature it does'nt mean that it was a great flight sim,on the contrary I personally thought it was awful,iL2 COD with all it's faults is far more realistic than that effort from Microsoft.

skouras 06-05-2011 01:17 PM

thats true
CFS3 VS IL2
IL2 WINNER:grin:Much more realistic and accurate...

Of course it's far more better! Maybe there are good things from other sim that can be implemented. For example what about aerodynamical effects on controls when approaching sound speed in the dive? It was a real problem!
Ok for the tail wheel sorry!

Warhound 06-05-2011 03:26 PM

I've accidently locked my tailwheel in one of the bombers as I had the key mapped to "max secondary illumination" aswell..so it is there on planes that had it back in the day.
Radio is being worked on as per Luthiers post here :
http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=23532
And aircraft documentation is pretty much being done by community video's and a soon to be FAQ someone was working on (for now).

So keep on trucking as most of the things you want are on their way. :)
