A game status update would be nice

"A game status update would be nice"
Simple answers to easy questions would be nice:
1) When can we expect the next patch?
2) Are driver related issues being addressed with Nvidia and ATI
3) Can we expect any new planes before next expansion?
4) Will Clod move away from steam for multiplayer hosting anytime soon
5) How's Oleg, is he staying in touch?
6) Can we expect better default tracer belts anytime soon?
7) How is directX 11 support going?
8) Are any new maps planned for release before any expansion?
9) A 24/7 online war was hinted at being possible by Oleg, is this likely anytime soon
10) Keep up the good work, not really a question just my thanks ;)

does it really matter, its kinda like are we there yet?

the Dutchman 06-03-2011 09:32 AM

I bet they are sweating over a patch that will shut us all up!
But if they succeed.............i hope so!

The problem is when a lot of people start asking "Are we there yet" and no one answers...
If you ever need to see what happens when no one answers visit the Silenthunter 5 site ;)

I was fine waiting quitely until they broke my game with the last patch. Now my new computer bought specificaly for this game sits idle while deteriorating in value.

An update would be nice.

l3uLLDoZeR 06-03-2011 02:08 PM

Was it really necessary to start another one of these threads. Its a waste of space and they(1c) obviously don't care. The patch will be out when it's done, find another hobby until then. It's scary how many peoples lives seem to revolve around this game or half of a game.

Don't get me wrong, I want more info too...but would rather they spent time working!

raaaid 06-03-2011 02:16 PM

1) 'We should be able to release a further patch in a couple of weeks'.

Or;

2) 'We're not releasing any more patches because we're rebuilding the whole thing for american release'.

That took me 20 seconds to type and I'm a crap typist.

Who knows? But I do know I feel like a mushroom every Friday.

If the devs are too busy to release an update, what does that tell you?

Wouldn't like to speculate, mate.

adonys 06-03-2011 02:47 PM

please, cut the crap with too busy to post an update: it takes 10 mins at most to make a small update. they just don't want to do it, or are in holiday.

BigPickle 06-03-2011 02:52 PM

or have broken the game completely trying to patch it

Chivas 06-03-2011 03:25 PM

The development team missed their scheduled break in May and with the new western release delay they may have factored in their holiday for now.

When the game was released there were various posts to state that there was "regret" in relation to state of the game. Not long afterwards the so called "patches" were released (followed by the Hot Fix). All this happened when the game was fairly recently released and when news of just how “bugged” it was may not have reached all potential buyers ears. As time goes on.......and as news of the state of the games spreads..... there is a lot of........nothing.

If I were a cynic I may well take the view that the recent silence has more to do with the fact that the initial release date has passed and few people will now be considering buying the game. If that is right then there is little motivation for the developer to keep in touch until we approach the US release date...when, I suspect, there will be all sorts of promises of what has been fixed.....whether it has been fixed is another question entirely.

I have said before...and will say it again...
"No Message is a Message"

These folks, no matter, how well intended, have learned nothing
about communication skills and marketing.

I am beginning to think that "they" are not educable.

Derinahon 06-03-2011 03:49 PM

I'm sure Luthier said they were hiring a dedicated go-between to roam the forum. What happened to him/her?

raaaid 06-03-2011 03:54 PM

check the stickies

seems if you cry enough...

For the devs busy at work, weeks pass like hours. But for us yearning for some updates, hours pass like weeks. lol

I mean, even if they just keep not interacting with us, is there anything we can really do about it? Return the game? There really isn't any alternative to CoD as of now. The market lacks competition.

SG1_Lud 06-03-2011 04:11 PM

I guess you are missing this?
