spiral tracers?

is there any ecentric german bullets?

maybe the spiral cannons?

theyre banned by geneva for being too mean but maybe you could expect that from nazis

in an eccentric bullet 100% of bullet energy goes to foes plane :)

Chips86 05-27-2011 03:40 PM

In my experience eccentric things mainly just piss themselves and drain your resources by refusing to go into a home.

conio 05-27-2011 03:49 PM

Back in those days, they where testing solar powered rail guns to take advantage of the sun light casting over the plane wings.
The idea was latter shelved as the wind speed would tear the solar panels from the wings.
After that, plasma guns where attempted being powered by a wind turbine fed by the plane speed on steep dives. This was also shelved due to the tendency of the plasma to jump to the plane propeller hence burning the electronic ignition system.

These two top secret trials are not recorded in history as they where too eccentric to be true.

Yes

JimmyBlonde 05-27-2011 03:54 PM

It's okay, I got this, I'm almost fluent in raaaid.

No, dum-dum or tumbling (eccentric) bullets are no use against metal targets.

Raiid is the chosen one...

I find myself looking at his threads whether im interested or not in the Title...just so i can see....well...the Goodness

To answer the question..

Tumbling (eccentric) bullets would be next to useless fired from an aircraft, they have an extremely short range and are prone to going where they want, not where you fired them.

They are designed for killing people not planes.

They also have nothing to do with spiral tracer smoke.

With an eccentric thread, 100% of the characters typed serve merely to increase the entropy of the forum. :-P

And yes, this is a self-fulfilling prophecy. They're the best kind!

*non Raaaid friendly answer*

Actually alot of the energy is lost by the tumbling, the tumbling of the bullet doesn't help much with accuracy too, and 100% of bullet energy is only possible at the muzzle....once a bullet leaves the barrel it starts to slow down.

*Raaaid friendly version*

Yes, but only the battle unicorns have them.

Well they would wouldn't they, ecentric bullets maybe useless against A/C but hit a unicorn with one and its goodnight Irene. I'm told that the pegasus experimented with a 20mm version but was to unstable.

*wanders to the kitchen for his first coffee of the day, better make it a double, actually better add a dash of Jameisons as well!

Haha! I'm totally in the same boat...they serve as pure entertainment and are a great example why you should not do drugs!

raaaid 05-27-2011 08:27 PM

all right so no eccentric bullets in the game

No, they are a modern invention.

raaaid 05-27-2011 08:41 PM

so what is in your opinion the best bullet

thinking of using piercing and go for the engine

but if i only used incendiary on the other hand i would kill no pilot and i like explosions

whoarmongar 05-27-2011 08:55 PM

Oh dear, Iv actually stopped playing the game but just spend my time on this forum reading Raaaid threads.
In fact Raaid is more logical than some of the flight model aspects of this sim,
Raaaid doesnt top out @ 22000ft
Raaid doesnt start HIS engine better with WEAK mix
Raaaid hardly ever stutters
Raaid assures me that if he ever hit a tree at high speed whilst flying his dragon it would kill him (the tree, not the Dragon) tho the Dragon would be pretty pissed also.
Raaaid entertains me.

B MkVI De wilde. The others just make holes in stuff. Or not, in the case of AP.

not much point, they are already used by the special Narwhal squadrons, the horns are retro-fitted with 40mm anti sub cannon.

Screamadelica 05-28-2011 09:19 AM

It doesn't get much better than this. ROFLMAO. The prophecy will be fulfilled.Raaaid is the chosen one.

raaaid 05-28-2011 02:11 PM

does anybody know why the sound of bullets breaking the sound barrier was taken from the old il2 and its now not here?

supercool that dopler effect :)

philip.ed 05-28-2011 02:35 PM

Raaaid, the whole sound system is a mess.
