The Igromir expo is going on right now. Some people from the Russian 1C forums have already been at the expo and posted comments. Its not good...... The demo is extremely buggy. I mean some comments are that the trucks sometimes sink into the ground, sometimes there isnt a driver, some trucks have their wheels missing and etc. Its scary. Oh no, not good at all. After all of the waiting for other people, they are going to be a "little" angry. I would like as many bugs fixed before the simulation is released. It feels like we might have to wait for the year 2009. The graphics look nice in the screenshots. I saw rain drops working in earlier videos, I wonder what happened to it.

[EDIT] The rain looked awesome at the time in Hard Truck 1, 2 and King of the Road. My sister loved driving in the game just to see the rain effects. :lol: I loved them too since I felt immersed in the world since the rain effects were nice. From seeing some other videos of Rig'n'Roll, the rain looked awesome.

Okay now the main question is whether this demo is fresh or not. If it's fresh then it just proves the fact the game is nowhere near completion. In fact, it will never come out anyhow.

I will email Igor Belago and ask whether the demo at Igromir 2007 is the latest version or not. Somehow I think its the very first demo from 3 years ago. Because other than the bugs the guy who made these photos said the graphics and etc are great.

We are still waiting for the videos from the expo. I wish I lived in Moscow I would shoot hours of video on my DV camcorder.

I'm almost positive this is the old demo. I mean, why would they make a new one, and not let everyone try it? Plus there are a lot of bugs. I wouldn't see bugs in the demo and expect them to be in the game. That's probably why they didn't distribute that demo, it would look bad. Thanks for posting Ubaku. I really hope thats not the latest Demo, because if it is. That means 2 more years trying to find what is causing the bugs and another 4 years to fix it.

I'm having a hard time understanding what you've just said. But in any case, to elaborate, I would say the following:

On the other hand, why would they present the old demo? Do you not think this is like digging your own grave or something? Showing something which does not resemble the quality of the final product even remotely? Just expose bugs and let everyone know it's still in development phase? If it was I to make PR decisions for the SoftLab-NSK, I would either say "we're not participating in Igromir 2007" or "we must bundle up a new up-to-date demo". Period, no other option. Following this logic ... they did participate, and this means what we see is an up to date demo. Besides, here's another fact:
As we can see from the screenshots, there's no rain drops on the windshield. And we've already seen working raindrops on windshields, so this means this demo cannot be older than what we have already seen. Can it be newer in this case? My guess - it can. And the reason we don't see the raindrops on windshield is either 1) because they've messed something up and this is a bug, 2) this was overkill for the graphics and they decided to take down this feature and 3) this is the result of some turned off setting in the options to increase FPS. I really hope this is 3). But it can be anything.
And also .... they did not participate on that plane expo in Russia this year ... why? Because as I said, they did not have the new demo. So then why participate in Igromir 2007? - Obviously because they did make a new demo afterall.

I just know that showing off an old demo is like doing suicide, apart from plain stupidity.

They probably won't give it to us beause they think that the demo reflects the quality of the game. Maybe they're just lazy. Even a buggy demo is better than no demo. At least, it would keep us enertained untill the game came out.

I would like an official response about those critical bugs in the simulation. If we were told that the simulation is almost ready to be released, then why are all of these bugs cropping up?

My answer is because they are afraid of the reaction of people if they say the game is still being heavily tested and it contains bugs. I repeat that still not having exact date of release means only one thing - it's far from being released ... very far.

That's why so many questions are left unawnsered here in this forum. The developers don't know how to fix problems with the game. They don't know the awnsers for the questions asked.

So, next time someone asks "When will the game be realesed?", you better wait seated. Because, untill SoftLab can come up with that awnser, questions will be the only thing coming up in the forum.

Well, it looks dated. Sorry I wasn't clear before. But what I meant was that if they are working to get the game out as fast as they can, why would they take the time to make a demo? If they did that for this year, they probably would have released it. To save time, they probably used the old demo. I hope. :oops: . Maybe this is the full game, but just for people to try. I don't know.

I think this is a new demo first california map looks diferent than before, second all trucks were available to choose. Look at screenshots there is several trucks. Last year there was only Kentworth T2000 as I saw in videos and some photos, but I don't know maybe I'm wrong, i hope i'm not. :)

First off, about the "dash half missing" picture; that is NOT a bug. If you've ever ridden in a freightliner classic before you would know that's exactly where the stereo inserts into. I'm 99% sure a stereo would be a upgrade in the game, atleast it'd be logical.

About the coronado with no driver; that photo shows absolutely no proof that's even a bug. That could be a fuel stop for all we know. Jesus christ people, most of the these things are normal. The rain effect on the glass is probably because the truck was sitting when the moron took a picture of the screen. And again, if you've ever been in freightliner classic before you would know that the windshield is nearly flat and the visor runs water off before it reachs the windshield. Get your head out of your ass, there's absolutely nothing wrong with these screenshots except the one with the trailer falling through the ground, which is probably a bug in the map or that section of road.

about that pic with truck without driver, I translated comment about that pic, that was not an emty truck, that was a rival truck, and I think that truker is not sleeping when he is participating in race, look at all screens its a lot of bugs! and no need to say that somebody is retarted, wach your self first! :evil:

well the vids I seen from this 2007 expo demo, I can say the rain might be a bug, the guy is driving and still no drop of rain on the windsheild. And as for the map error, that is what the developers call a bug. So yes they are a few.

Well, the contest prizes were some clothings, pens and such things with the logos of publishing and development companies. And also there were some valuable prizes like e.g. pc hardware. As for the release date, i still can't tell it now.

Guys, Evgeny is doing as mush as he can with providing you with all the info he can get. I saw him at the show running around taking photos to show you guys how it was. But it is impossible to know everything, especially things that are not known yet. I mean the release date. I wish we could be more precide on this one, but we simply can't, since it hasn't been decided yet.
In the meanwhile we might try and drop in some more info on the development process. We'll be working on this.

do you know of admission costs like 10.00 adults i am talking int CDN dollars or is it free. I go to number of events like a model railroad show and they charge 5.00 for adults and 4 for children under 13 etc.

Well, at IGROMIR everyone could come and play his favourite game or to take part in a contest, and there was no time limit, but everybody understood, that they aren't the only ones, who want to play R'n'R, so everyone played who wanted to.
As for exibitions in USA and Canada, you have E3 and now russian gamers have their IGROMIR and it's very good opportunity to try the upcoming games. So we're waiting you here in Moscow next year. We'll be very glad to se you. :wink:

i believe that the demo part was already said that there will be no demo that will be released to the public but it if changed please let us know. would there be a way that we can get it released? but if the game is going to be released soon then no but i would suggest that if this game doesnt come out in 2-3 months to do something like demo.

I did lose alittle interest in the following things I saw in the expo movie;
1: You don't get to drive your truck into/out of a Warehouse.
2: The rain scenes where it seems the road gets dark but not the rest of the scenery. The clouds looked too bright to be rain clouds. I assume the 2nd thing was brightness settings.

I hate how its the same cut scene every time you get arrested.

No, I didn't manage to play it, cause I was busy at another stand, but I'd love to. As for the demo, I still can't tell anything yet.

I would like to have to hook up my trailer, like in 18 Wheels of Steel: Haulin'. That can be difficult, but I love the challenge. I admired my fellow ex-co-workers who would "jockey" trailers from dock to dock with ease. I worked for a long haul LTL shipping company named Watkins Motor Lines which is now Fedex National LTL.

Also there are alot of other trucks on rignroll site is that just the demo with limited trucks or is that the full trucks from the site on there because it looks like it is missing afew.

I think the Restyle button is probably for customizing the truck.

From looking at that one image, made me realize how well women and semi trucks go together. :P

Yes, please release the demo for us to play! In the past they've said they don't want to release the demo, because it might give them bad reputation as the demo might not be in par with the final product. But, if its good enough to put up on the gameshows, it sure is good enough for us!! And believe me, their reputation can ONLY increase after these LONG delays.
