Year of game release

Can the Oleg team or a Mod please let the community know a ballpark figure of the planned release date for this game. A planned year of release would be helpfull. A planned year and month would be beyond joy.

No seriously while I agree it would be nice to know, I don't think this will happen. Release dates have been provided and not met in the past which just resulted in tirades against the devs. I presume that we probably won't hear a date until we are within a few months of it being met.

I've got an original boxed Il-2 Sturmovik right here. Got it by mail-order from PCPilot magazine in 2001 I think, or maybe the start of 02!

Ok ...I will go away ......I thought people would join in on this thread.... and maybe....turn it into a monster.......that could not be ignored.......Oleg would have to respond to the powerless...I guess I was dreaming....bye.

No need to go anywhere. Oleg has already stated that the beta is getting closer every day. My guess is that it will reach beta before the end of this year and going gold in the middle of 2008, barring any Catostrophic bug delays. May even be sooner but fine tuning all the features that are being considered for this sim could take some time. I doubt even Oleg could give you a definitive date of release and giving one here could lead to many headaches later.

They have been, and are running at 110% to get it done.....I'm sure that they are doing their very best....when its done its done, just stand steady, and wait with us :)
