Stunning! How does the work compare with the 1946 type skins? Can you add texture to the tail of the German planes? If you wish i can offer some space for downloads on our sites. |

Damn nice work, and damn the historical correctness :D
|
Anyone figured out how to make the Noseart work yet?
We have our custom squad mark we'd like to use on the nose. I've fooled with it but neither bitmaps or jpegs seem to work, or perhaps I don't have the correct syntax on the file I added for them? |
As far as I can find 'Widge' Gleed flew LK-A
LE were the codes for 242 Sqn (Bader's) LK were 87 Sqn, Gleed's |

Hehehe..true those 2, VL and 3W are a bit into the future..great sight. The VL could be made though. 167 (Gold Coast) Squadron used the VL code till it changed to 322 (Dutch) Squadron on Woodvale. 167 Sqn flew e.g. patrols near Scapa Flow. 3W is late war for the 322.

Hey Chris.
How is the skinning for Cliffs of Dover compared to Il2? I am very anxious to find out for myself. |

I just use this topic and hope the OP doesn´t mind. Couldn´t find any skinning experts in other local forum, but there some around here.
At the moment I am trying to paint a CloD skin for our squadron, which represents the 7./JG27 of III./JG27 in time between July and September 1940. I own a book by J.Prien, G.Rodeike about the planes of III./JG27 and used a black white scheme for orientation of the pattern. At the moment it looks as this: (see attached pictures) The dappers on the sides are still to sharp imo, the colors are little off, the air-inlet is not right, the MG cover and the radio antenna has to be corrected. But I cannot find the mapping of the antenna on the skins. Can anybody give me a hint, where to find the antenna in 109 skin? |
Well done Chris, you and Buglord were 2 of the main offenders for bumping up my IL2 series skin folders mega bytes over the years. Getting a feeling of deja vous here and it feel good.
Buglord - looking forward to some decent 109 skins, the in game ones (as someone posted earlier) looks like a plastic models. Weather them well please. |
