German campaign too hard?
 

Well, I wouldnt wonder if ti was just me but is the first mission of the german campaign too hard? Me and one wingmain defend a dornier against 6 or so spitfires? Thats pretty impossible. Mabe i domething wrong with the wingman communication? Possible. Any clues?

I failed miserably at that mission! It doesn't help that wingam commands don't seem to work,but really its an impossible mission I think.

Me too, German campaign = fail for me :) lol

The dornier was down before i even got to it, got 3 of the buggers as they scarpered for home though, gets real busy managing the engine to get the max out of it but not kill it while you are in hot pursuit doesn't it! hope they can get the coms working soon, will make the campaign much more playable i think.

Have you noticed that german campaign doesn't even have a description like the english one? I'm afraid developers have not taken much care with it.:rolleyes:

Once the dornier is down and the mission is lost for axis the allies seem to not care for any remeining foes anymore and just lfy straight awaiting to be punded from the backdoor. Not very smart AI.

you have to disable takeoff from the airfield in the first mission or your teammates won´t help you

takeoff from the airfiels? is that an option?

yes in the realism options
take off and landings in missions or something like that
i don´t know how it is in the english version;)

playing 100% realism here, I take off from the airfield and just get messages saying were is my escort, but I cant find the dornier all I can see is 3 109s that take off before me and head out over the coast. I try to catch them up.... then I get a you failed the mission. what am I doing wrong?

If you take off the airfield you wont be able to win the mission. The dornier is west north west of your takeoff location . He is heading east northeast.
If you make an airstart your wingmen will help you fighting the spits. I tried it dozens of times with starting from the ground. But iwthout help you have no chance downing 6 spits before they kill the dornier.
When airstarting you have like 6 BFs helping you in this fight thus leaving you realistic chances.

Well, this german campaign for shure was added as a afterthought.
I shure hope that when the big problems are solved we'll get something better, be it from maddox games or from talented users.

I have to say I'm terribly disappointed with the campaigns so far. Not that they are THAT bad per se, but after all this time I really had hoped for more.
