Trim control Me-109 not working
Something is wrong with the elevator trim control in Me-109. It seems locked and cannot be adjusted, neither by the keyboard (I kept default command Shift+up/down arrow). It cannot be adjusted in the cockpit either.
Keyboard command works fine in planes like the Hurricane, and it is cool to click the trim wheel in the cockpit. But Me-109 pilots are not happy... |

There was a bug with BF109 and trimmer did not work with simple engine management. Probably still not fixed.

I have the same problem. When I realease the joystick, she keeps climbing and climbing... I'm using "easy" motor management.
|
I have the same problem, altough I noticed it does work when i ditched on the ground (engine off on the ground) haven't tested it yet (have two kids with diapers so i have to fly between poo breaks :P )
|
I have it too. There is definitely no elevator trim for the 109 at the moment in my game.
I'm using simple engine management and haven't tried taking off with the plane yet. |
No problem using 109 trim in game for me. I have it mapped to both a button control for fine movement, and to a rotary dial on my joystick.
|
only works for me when i use CEM in the 109.
didn't think it worked on spits for a while but thats just a graghics bug it seems, you can trim elevators and rudder but they dont move in the cockpit. |
No Trim, no Flaps, i can't even get the landing Gear up or down in Axis Planes
|
try your settings without anthropomorphe filter.
If they than work without proplems.... i have it disabled after the first day and will never touch it again if possible. I had the proplem that the elevator trim whell on my HOTAS watch jikning a little bit - wow, the game thought the pilot had his left hand always on the trimmwheel - so, most other functions didnt work in that time. |
depending on the aircraft you cannot deploy flaps/ gear unless you're below a certain speed iirc, with the 109 you have to hold down the flaps key to lower them and that can take a while as the flaps are dropped/ raised by a wheel.
|
Also no trimming possible in the BF 109, however in Bombers it´s working, like in the Do 17.

regarding the 109
i found it was inop in quick missions only,a bug im sure in campaign mode the trims and other sliders are working |
The elevator trim and flaps work fine for me in the Bf 109E-3 (in quick missions OK too).
I use a Thrustmaster Warthog and have the elevator trim mapped to an axes on the throttle. To set the flaps I just hold the keyboard key down and yes it does take a while to fully raise or lower flaps in a 109. |
@JG53Frankyboy: canceled the anthropomorphe filter for my Geforce GTX 460 but still the same problems.
@huckster: When i started the german campaign i couldn't even raise my gear after take of (109). Also there is no "Screen response" when i press "G" on the Keyboard like it is if i hit i.g. "I" it shows "Engine Start". Strangely Spitfire and Hurrican work just fine. BTW, forgot to mention i'm on basic engine management, don't know if it makes a difference in that case. Anyway, thanks for trying to help guys, i very much appreciate that! :-) Maybe one of the next patches would solve this problem.... |

And finally i've been able to fly the 109! But not yet, i need a little break from flying. Gonna grab some sleep for an hour or two.....zzzZZZZ |
I can confirm that switching off the antimorp. filter in the Realism Options makes it possible to trim the 109. it worked online on a Dogfight server.
|
YEA i got that too , i go stright into a vertical climb , trimm like mad to get it level but by that time the spits all over me like a rash ..lol..work in progress.
i do love the cockpits ..thou |
i found holdin down the trim key worked for me... i hit hammerin it like crazy at 1st... them held it on worked right away :)
