Who do we blame?
I'm sick and tired of excuses. You make a game, you make it good. You put a epileptic filter as an option PERIOD.
Here we have one luthier blaming himself and Oleg blaming the publisher. I QUOTE: Luthier "In summary, I want to stress that it is OUR code and OUR game engine that is causing performance issues. And it US who has to make it better, and that's exactly what we pledge to do. " OLEG: "@OlegMaddox You do realize that hundreds if not thousands of people are cancelling their orders because of this filter shit? Make it optional in international version or lose money, much money. Julianontube 1 day ago @Julianontube Its not my problem really. Its a problem of publishers. OlegMaddox 4 hours ago Source Here |
Unfortunately, I want a game that runs smoothly that can be patched. One end we have one guy saying its his problem, then the other guy implying that its the publishers fault for our Sh** game.
I just want to know if they'l fix it. Who do i believe? Oleg or Luthier? |
its already been posted in a few places on the net, dont know if it works though
"in the config file, find the line in section [BOB] AntiEpilepcy = and change to AntiEpilepcy = 0, If this line is not - then insert. save config" |
IF Ubi said release it now and make it comply with OUR requirements or we pull the plug then you cant really blame 1C for going down this route. HOWEVER Ilya should or could have told us last week that there was a problem that would be sorted AFTER release. to hope that no one would read the Russian forums was very naive and has done more harm than good.

If you look at it that way DD it shows that they will cover it up and we find out when we buy, and cos we found out, they make a pledge to fix it. i dont like how that makes me feel as a customer.
But also maybe they didnt mention it because they hoped to have it fixed before europe release with a 0 day patch. But all that said, I still believe a month or two after release this will be a thing of the past and a patch will have solved these issues. |

Exactly, all we need is a simple answer and estimate time of fix and what EXACTLY they are doing. + they must definately not contradict themselves and keep stuff from us. |

I dont know guys/girls, all i know is that I want a pretty huge fix regarding performance. There is no use drowning out the problems with hardware that is yet to exist. It needs to run smoothly if they want some profit!

Personally, I blame Tree.

You blame no one. It was a freak accident. They should make a switcher option for the western release.

This thread is symptomatic of modern life...always looking for someone to blame.
Ok, I'll bite...I blame all of us, that's right everyone of you (including myself) who's reading this...it's entirely our fault. We're the one's who put pressure on ubi, Oleg etc. It's time to Man up people and face our responsibilities. Who's with me (although I have a feeling I'll be standing alone)? Ok then, it's my fault. |

Say a person has been flying IL-2 all of the 10 years it's been out. He's an epileptic and so far he hasn't had much trouble. All of a sudden he buys the sim he's been waiting for for six years. He gets it out and starts flying. Next thing he knows he finds himself on the floor a half hour later just waking up with muscles that ache. His inner cheek, tougue and lips might be chewed all to hell. His legs and arms might be bashed up also because of the grand mal seizure he's just had. This person would deffenetly need that filter. I think they need a switcher. This video has no filter I'm sure of it. It's almost two years old. Look how smooth it is.

Placing blame fixes nothing.
There is starting to be evidence that people with modern rigs, that are taking the time to tweak settings are getting acceptable performance. Some of the posters on the Russian forums are running very old rigs with weak specs. And besides we are only what, three odd days into the release? Personally I'm viewing the Russian early release as an open beta test session. The dev team will fix things. I know for some of you this statement will not be enough as you feel you are entitled to perfection for some odd reason. Here is a clue, perfection costs a lot more than $49.99, and certainly more than the $15 that our Russian friends are paying for the right to play what amounts to a beta. Be patient. By the time of the release in the Western Hemisphere (mid April) things will be better, and will continue to improve as time passes. cheers. |

Did the Russians at the release parties know they were walking into a beta though?
I don't remember seeing any official talk of problems before the the game was released, that only happened when Russians took the game home and tried to install and run it. It must be close to a public relations disaster there. I shall judge on Thursday, when it is released here in the UK.Hopefully there will already be a patch by then.By the time Americans get it the game might be running pretty well. |
I agree! The game was running perfectly on hardware that was 2 or even 3/4 years old. As SOON as ubisoft mention something the implamentation of the filter in the past month has ruined EVERYTHING. If they sold us there last successful build, I garentee it would be running perfectly on ATI 4000 series.

Heres an idea... stop running around like Chicken Little panicking and looking to "blame" someone. Wait until you actually have the GAME, put it on your system and see how it goes and then CHILLAX! |
