Correct, Ubisoft Nederland verkoopt ze hier niet. De enige versie die hier (officieel) te koop zal zijn is de download versie. Ja, ik heb hiervoor met Ubisoft zelf gebeld en die hebben dit medegedeeld.

Afgezien van de taal zal er geen verschil zijn?
Uit de discussie met 1C haal ik dat de wetten in Rusland onduidelijk zijn omtrend de kenmerken van oa. Duitsland *) en Finland.... onduidelijkheid=niet opgenomen.

Ik kan het ook de collector edition niet vinden op amazon uk

Geen Cliffs of Dover special in de Uk zal raar zijn he? De machine is al in gang gezet om er een aantal naar de NL te halen.

Het is gewoon lachwekkend en een minachting aan ons als dat waar zou zijn.
Mijn mening hoor.
Ik ga in iedergeval niet betalen voor een download versie.
Blijf ik wel gewoon de oude IL2 vliegen. :)

Tsja, ik zie het al gebeuren dat je geen verbinding kan maken met het net en er is iets met het spel waardoor je opnieuw moet installeren, ervan uitgaande dat je geen backup bij de hand hebt van het systeem dan he. In ons geval tijdens een evenement..wat mij trouwens nog steeds brengt bij de beveiliging van het spel, ik hoop niet dat het op internet moet worden gecontroleerd of het origineel is, dit heb ik nog niet gehoord...whoops..

in short:

you downloaded CofD, there's something wrong and you must reinstall..but no internet where you are at that moment....also the security, i hope it's not needed to have a net connection to play> not clear yet.

Ik vind het ook uiterst vreemd dat er zelfs geen normale boxed versie is, eigenlijk vind ik dit niet kunnen! Sinds wanneer worden wij overgeslagen? Zelfs Black Shark heb ik in Nederland kunnen krijgen, boxed. Dit gaan een hoop mensen niet leuk vinden, maar ja, het zij zo, ik laat me niet uit het veld slaan, ook al houd ik niet van downloads, dat mag niet in de weg staan voor deze veel belovende sim!

Als het echt niet verkocht wordt door de normale winkels (bol.com,freerecordshop,dixons enz) dan kan je het altijd nog hier halen:

Is het in België wel verkrijgbaar, boxed? Dat zou mooi uitkomen, dan kan ik er in Antwerpen om, ook leuk tourtje voor de Kreidler:)

Gezien de reacties op het forum is er in de andere Europese landen ook alleen een download versie beschikbaar. Uitzondering is UK

Op mijn werk met een UK server kan ik op de UBI UK store komen en is de collectors edition te koop voor GBP 50.

Probeer ik thuis via UPC op de Engelse UBI store te komen wordt ik automatisch doorgeleid naar UBI Nederlandse store.

Klopt. Dat had ik ook... maar daar kan je omheen. Neem een UK proxy server ;) Maar dat je zelfs al niet meer kan beslissen waar je koopt.....

Waarom zou Ubisoft voor deze manier gekozen hebben? Volgens mij worden de meeste games die legitiem gekocht worden nog steeds in een winkel verkocht of heb ik dat mis? Voor zover ik weet was Silent Hunter 5 ( toch bedoeld voor een kleiner publiek ) ook overal te koop als hardcopy. Het is voor de uitgever natuurlijk wel veel gemakkelijker op deze manier, en levert meer geld voor ze op, maar aangezien het Flight sim publiek toch wat ouder is dan bij andere genres, zijn meer mensen vertrouwd met een CD en een doosje. Ik weet niet of dit het nieuwe verkoop plan is van Ubisoft voor alle toekomstige titels, en als andere uitgevers dat ook gaan doen kan de lokale game-store z'n deuren wel sluiten.:(

Ik denk dat je er pas achteraf antwoord op krijgt, en dan heeft het al geen zin meer. Vreemde vogels die Ubisofters;)

Tja, waarom kies je voor zoiets?

Kosten zullen waarschijnlijk de reden zijn. Geen doos, geen cd/dvd, geen manual, geen grote transport kosten en alles makkelijk bij jou op de pc...hoppa.... tot er iets mis is. Servers die plat liggen, kijk maar naar de problemen die er geweest zijn bij o.a. steam etc..


The most probable cause of why Ubisoft offers more downloads then the really nice boxed (special) editions are the costs. No need for box, cd/dvd manuals or transportation costs..and maybe the 'ease'for the consumer of getting it right where it should be..till trouble hits it, servers that are offline or other problems discussed before eg steam...

kans word steeds minder en minder dat ik hem ga kopen nu,
A: In maart komen minsten 2 andere games uit die ik echt wil hebben.
B: UBI-Softs nieuwe DRM.
C: 50 euro voor alleen Battle Of Britain.
D: Straks zeker ook nog leker kunnen gaan betalen voor nieuwe vliegtuigen en maps...
E: Slechte ervaringen met Download versies van games.

Mischien heeft een handtekening topic zin hier waar alle nederlandse spelers hun stem kunnen laten horen/zien dat ze ook gewoon de game als Collectors Edition of als Normale Editie op Schijf willen kunnen kopen.

Nou voor B C D hoef je je geen zorgen te maken,

B: Geen DRM , eenmalige activatie.
C: Bijna alle spellen zijn 50 euro, van arcade shooters tot vol realistische sims, en BoB was nogal groot hoor!
D: Voor expansion packs ja, net als IL2, geen RoF style.

En ja het is duur, maar ja, dat is het altijd als je toch iets exclusiever wil hebben, een vliegtuigsimulatie, bovendien heb ik vele uren plezier van elke sim die ik speel, ik vind het zijn geld wel waard.

Zit ook te denken om de collectors editie via Amazon.de te gaan bestellen, maar is deze dan Engelstalig of alleen in het Duits?
Is het alleen de Duitse versie dan is het voor mij een no go.

Er staat "sprache deutch" ... Er zijn maar weinig spellen uitgekomen in duitsland die meer talen ondersteunen.. Nasynchroniseren is daar uitgevonden volgens mij. Dus... Ik neem aan dat het alleen duits is. Maar ik kan er naast zitten. Mail ze anders.

Mij maakt het een beetje nerveus, ik wil een DVD want ik sleep straks mn PC weer naar Duitsland voor een LAN party (lowlandtigermeet.com) waar we CofD ook in willen opnemen.
Stel, mijn PC kapt er mee - zou niet de eerste keer zijn na vervoer - dan sta ik daar met een mond vol tanden voor 140 deelnemers...:!:

It is very frustrating. I really want to show my support for Oleg and Co by pre-ordering the Collectors edition, but can't.

I ended up buying ROF from ebay from over seas and it arrived a week or so before it got in the stores over here in WA. If Ubi can't get it's act into gear I may have to do the same for Bob!

Looks like it will be fairly expensive. The Shogun 2 Total War Deluxe Set is coming in at $169 AUD, hopefully it won't be as much as that. Why are we charged so much especially with the Australian dollar being almost equal to the US dollar?:cry:

Amazon UK heeft hem niet eens. (en Amazon DE weer wel....weird)

Dusty bedoelt kopen via de webwinkel van Ubi in de UK. Als je die selecteert wordt je meteen doorgezet naar de Nederlandse webwinkel waar alleen de download versie te krijgen is.

Zoals Dusty al zegt, hebben we als 322Sqn rechtsreeks contact met Ubisoft in Nederland en die bevestigen zelfs dat ze de collectors versie niet naar Nederland kunnen halen :evil::evil:
Dit is wel een erg zware domper voor de Nederlandse Flightsim Community:-x

Mischien is het een idee om gezamelijk als Nederlandse Simmers een actie te starten naar UbiSoft, om alsnog de collectors editie in de shop te krijgen ?

Er bestaat ook zoiets als een email, ik heb ze even een mailtje gestuurd. Die was wel geschreven in het nederlands, hopelijk komt dat goed.

I like to get simple games through steam, but given the way updates have worked with IL2 and RoF I'd prefer to be able to choose when to apply any updates, and keep different versions on disk, which will hopefully be possible with CoD.

Looks like I'll have to pay the margin's of several useless middle-men again...

Exchange rates are not necessarily related to retail prices.

I used to work for Harvey Norman Electrical in NSW back in the 90's.

We were importing electrical goods in Yen -- against which the Aussie dollar was rising, so we were getting them cheaper than ever.

However the Aussie dollar was falling against the US dollar -- so we were able to put all our prices on electrical goods UP by 10% (even though we were importing them cheaper) and blamed the government and the "bad Aussie dollar" for the price hike.

We made a fortune for a while.

Ahh, so that's how it works. I'm guessing at the boxed set selling for around $129 AUD, or I'll eat Feuerfalke's shorts if Tree hasn't already digested them.:) I like the idea of bombarding the retailers with phone calls until we get some information. Will put in a call tomorrow.

A good place to buy online is www.ozgameshop.com , Alot of new titles that are $100 or there abouts here are $50-60 on that site , shipping is also FREE and it comes from the UK which is pretty good.

Pretty much you save atleast %30. It's worth a look.

Still nothing listed with EB, and the staff have no idea about the release, even suggesting it may be DLC only for Australia! Sent Ubisoft an email several days ago, but have had no reply from them. Looks like it's either a waiting game to see if we get some box sets in the stores or order from overseas, as usual. SNAFU.:mad:

The retailers have said they may not know until 4 or 5 weeks before release date in regards to what they will be getting, I'm fairly sure we will get the Limited Edition sets as Ubisoft has always shipped them in the past for most games they release. Still,it keeps things a little edgy.:)

Yet another Australian fan registering his unhappiness with the way that Australian games are so over priced. EB games I'm afraid are really overpriced as it is. Its sad that Australian games have got so over priced. I've been looking forward to Shogun 2 for a long time, then I find its gong to be 100+ dollars. It hurts alot but I'm saying next. Hopefully ozgameshop someone recommended is as good as it is with other games. I'm amazed that Civ V is so cheap on it.

Good old Gerry Harvey, always doing the right thing by us Aussies, I refuse to buy anything of that tosser.:evil:

I used to go to either EB or JB-HiFi when it came to buying my games. But recently I've jumped on the STEAM bandwagon. I just got Dead Space 2 for $20 less than what it cost at EB or JB.

But I think for the collectors edition of CoD I'll go back to JB, unless I can get it from Amazon.
