4.10 Official Release
 

Dear IL-2 fans,

On behalf of 1C:Maddox Games and Daidalos Team, we are pleased to present you the patch 4.10m.

Few words before you hit that download button...The development of 4.10 patch took longer than we have anticipated in the beginning as we continued adding more content than originally planned. In order to give you the most stable version of the patch without any further delay we have decided to make the unpopular decision and did not include all the content that was previously announced in our development updates. The patch content became simply too big and complicated to test all together at once. But that does not mean we have abandoned the features we have informed you about before. To be specific, the following features are NOT included in 4.10 patch, but will come in our next releases:

1) AI seeing through clouds and other more complex AI improvements - priority candidate for 4.11
2) Triggers - priority candidate for 4.11
3) More complex MDS features - as a first step we wanted introduce the core feature of MDS in 4.10 = moving AI units and carriers on dogfight server
4) Ship damage effects - some ship DM improvements have been included in 4.10. More to come in the future.
5) Radar - was not planned for 4.10 yet. We do need to complete the full scenario before we release it.

We are also going to switch to smaller but more frequent patch releases from now on. 4.10 will be the foundation for our future work. As with the previous patch we would like to ask IL-2 community members to report any relevant issues or errors that did slip through our beta testing net. We have just opened the 4.10 bug report thread for this. Of course you can also use our DT email for the bug reports: daidalos.team@gmail.com We are committed to continue improving our work in the future patches.

First thing I did: navigation night landing with the BF110. IFR is SO COOL!

But it takes time getting used to, flew a few circles around the first beacon and almost got myself into a death spiral. After that, approach on the Lorenz beam was peanuts :)

The reduced dashboard lighting is a good one, but the only moment I looked outside was after I asked for the runway lights.

Let's see if I can make the mission even darker, think I'm going to add a lot of rain and wind :)

Thanks for the long awaited 4.10 I know there are a lot of features that people will love.

I have downloaded the 410 patch and the 410 DS patch.

I have setup a 410m dedicated server (CRT=2), but when I connect I am getting a Timeout = 1 error.

Installation on the client was over a stock 4.09m installation (Built fresh and tested connection to a CRT=2 4.09m server before updating)

Installation on the server was over a stock 4.09m Dedicated server (Same one I tested above with)

Both client and server were updated. The problem I have is that only 50% of the players that have tried were able to successfully connect, and the rest all got Timeout=1 errors.

If I set CRT=0 then I can connect without any problems.

Any ideas what we can try next ?

quickie for you, am just getting back into this lovely game, and am as we speak downloading 1946, can I patch straight to 4.10 or do I need some others first??

If someone would've asked me to have a bet on wether 4.10m is beeing released this year or not, I honestly would've said no.

And now here it is, just in time for christmas, what makes it the even better present !!! :o

Cannot thank you enough, all the time we waited is forgotten now and I'm sure we all will enjoy it to the fullest.

I have DL the 410 exe and ran it on top of a 409m copy; looked like it did okay but the loading splash screen still says 4.09m?

Also can the up410 patch be loaded on top of my 409UP version?

Hello TD,in list of loadouts HE-111H6 ive seen 4SC500 4SD250, but there is only 2 cariied on the plane, whats wrong, loadout or name of loadout?
