Favourite Targets
 

Which aircraft give you the most satisfaction to shoot down, is the long struggle against the armour of a b17 you crave or the delicate dancing with a spitfire that ends up in one man losing a wing or controll surface? Talking aircraft not pilots just to make it clear.

For me it has always been about destroying i153 and i16s: watching their tail fly off and them bursting into flames ah sweet, Ironically i'm also partial to shooting down hurricanes and passing the wreckage as close as possible

I second that one Shadowcorp. To shoot down them big bombers allmost makes me sad.

The Big Treat is to clear the skies from i153's and i16's. They twist and wiggle - and burn so nicely when u hit them just right.

It is a treat to dance with a Spit or a Hurrie to, before u finally break of one or both of theire wings, but the real deal is when I drop one of them annoying "small" birds.

I like rolling around B-17's and then shooting them down from the side.. (it just looks good)

Also love doing a job on any IL-type.. vertically from directly underneath (it's a sure fire way to get someone to switch back to pilot from gunner after a couple of goes)

I've said it before but, a 153 at the top of it's loop is IL-2 heaven.. especially if you cut them in half.

I16 and I153 for me. I will never get tired of seeing a wing come off an I16 or a 153 explode. I also love it when after 2 minutes of sustained gunfire an i10 explodes. Even better when you get a lucky flank burst on one and it explodes straight away.

Failing those anything labled barny I enjoy downing

I also like rolling around B17s in a Hurricane which is more challenging then shooting from a distance in a G6.

I can't seem to nail the i-153's. Impossible predict their turns unless they're in a loop.

IL series and P47's are as tough as old boots so it's satisfying to get a rare kill.

The title does say targets!!!! And he is a prime one! My finger slipped last night when he was on our team and was on the deck.......twice!

mouthy teen pilots who jabber on and on, are incredibly good kills. I popped barney with one of his precious rockets at the weekend i laughed my ass off at his frustration

Sadly he did get me back with one of those but then I had dropped 16,000lbs on him!

LOL!. I wondered why you got the B17 out.

He made me laugh when he said he made reaper crash because he was parked on the runway. Fact was mq was chasing reaper straight down nailing him with gunfire. That had nothing to do with it, it was barney sat on the runway that made him crash. He crashed about half a click away and the runway was already ours anyway!

OOO darn, I just cant figure how the h_ll you fly like that and managing to have that kill rate.

Later in the match I tried to pursue you while you were on a teammates six but no chance dude. I surely have to pick up my TM Hotas and spend time with it........

I hear you Kav. My left thumb can't tolerate dogfighting. Whatever you do you will always be out-turned by the aces.

wookie is impossible to out turn at the best of times, i think everyone has that probelm, hotas and gamepad alike. I can't remember the last time i got the upper hand on him in a turn

god i hate that little american gobshite he never has anything decent to say on his mic and is always talking bullshit. as soon as i see him i just have to light that little bastard up

i played several games with him a few days ago... he didn't have his mic on and was always was in the P47.

whatever plane wookie is in, is an extension of his being ;)

IL-2, IL-10, La5, La7, and the Yaks are what I enjoy shooting down the most.

I forgot another favourite, that battleship on Sicily coast. I get more satisfaction dropping 1000 pounders on that than 100 pill boxes

I dancing round the sky with faster more agile fighters and grinning with smug satisfaction as they fall to the guns of my Spitfire MkII.

Spitfires. I love watching those suckers snap in half with a well-placed cannon round. That's the most common enemy I see online, so that's my favorite to kill.

Though, I do love to see IL-2s or IL-10s go down in flames.

WOW!! I haven't played this game very long and I consider myself an "Okay" pilot, but the first time I came across Mr B, and I too wanted to put a few holes in his ride, friend or foe. He wouldn't stop rattling off with his mouth. It got to the point that many of the players jumped off the game. Outside of that, everyone else I've come across has been fun to fly with. For me it's watching that gun laden B-17 burst into flames after my bf 109 K-4 filled it full of holes.

favorite target is the one that tries to evade by picking a direction and yanking the stick back, so all I have to do is roll and then there's a big fat top of a plane moving in one dimension along my guns plane. Can't miss.

Most satisfying one to destroy is a b-17 online, by boom-and-zooming like in real life. Unfortunately in real life you don't have the b17 already within 5 miles of the ground target when you spot it. When you can take your time, you can knock down multiple b17's without taking a scratch, with limited ammo.

Second best is killing a spitfire with an la5 after a nose-to-nose vertical turn, by dodging the spit's shot and climbing above it, then watching it either stall trying to follow, or dive after it.

my favorite targets are Ground targets, wich is strange since im a tank fan. that said; i must admit that BoP Has the Best looking german Tanks on the Ground who i ever seen in a video game.

I would have to say 153's and I-16's its fun to blast a bastard out of the sky that thinks he can pimp in a paper airplane or a convertable turtle.
