People still play?
 

Just curious as if to people still play this game?

I played the demo a long time ago, enjoyed it. Really thinking about going to get it sometime soon. Just making sure people still play online.

il2 is a great alternative to all of the other games. so if anyone played to often mw2 for example, he comes back to il2 to calm down. ^^

ps3 or xbox? Use this forum to make initial connections and then it'll spread from there, a bit like a sexually transmitted disease...

I played the demo on xbox. I have both PS3 and 360 so I haven't decided which I'd buy it for.

Personally, I'd get it on the PS3. For a start, there seems to be a larger online community for the PS3, plus we have the patch.

Well if I had to choose again, I'd still pick the 360 version. For a start :P The PS3's screen tearing would annoy the hell out of me.

Again, I will say that it is untrue that the PS3 has a larger BoP community, it just has a larger presence here. Yes there is no update as of now but the guys here are working on 505 to change that. Also multiplayer options are better on 360 with Player Matches able to invite friends and Ranked Leader-boards that aren't broken.

Not to mention, PS3 is not split into ranked and player matches, which means they have less options (12 instead of 24) which has to make it easier to find a game.

Maybe when the game was new. But now I don't think anybody looks to find players in ranked matches anymore. I don't think ive ever seen a random ranked match waiting to start when ive searched. What we do is start with a player dogfight and send out invites and see how many people are around then we all join a party. If we've got good communication going its then that we often decide to go ranked and the host has to tell everybody what to search for when the lobby is open.

It must be a right pain having to do that on PS3 with only ranked matches available and without invites or party chat????

i prefer to play BoP on my Commodore 64. it has the best graphics and endless multiplayer options. old school FTW.
