Apologies for the invites.......
Had a lot of invites by old and new to join sessions last night and would like to say sorry to all for not responding. I was in a large party flying an 'Air Show'. (No battles, just formation Flying B17's and P51's but it lasted quite a long time..........several hours! Don't ask......and before anyone else (barstewards!) mentions it.... yes - I converted my P51 to scrap metal on 'several' occasions (erm....change that to 'two' as it sounds better!) but at least there won't be a bill for re-surfacing the runway.

I pulled some clips from the stream and posted them here: www.justin.tv/shmodmediadept. Had a lot of fun flying around with you guys. We should do it again sometime.

Awesome footage, looks like fun. I'd love to take part in the next one if I'm available at the time: ontheborderland

Great Draux enjoyed that, the idea to create signal beacons along the runway was great too (me lying? - never!) May be one night we could use a Strike match to emulate P51's escorting B17's to their target and the other team flying BF's and FW's (at altitude though).

........and another apology to JE. I was in a 'crabby' mood and shouldn't have said what I did.....sorry Jack, I was out of order buddy!

Pope you let me down mate, you didnt get me in :(
only joking mate, sounds like great fun though and something that takes skill. Im online tonight and will be up for flying anything if anyone is interested? SEE.... its been a while mate since i've taken to the air, im thinking you and pope might tear me a new one :( im rusty. Would love to fly some friendly flying though on the wing of someone. |
Noticed on the vid clips (superb btw draux, best i've seen yet on here mate :D really shows everyone pulling together etc) and just wondered -
was anyone using the flight stick? for obvious reasons (parking brake) how did it affetc anyone using it? cheers. |

The guy in the clip below was also flying with a stick (in the P51). But he was trying to switch from his stick to a regular controller so he could land with brakes. If you listen to what he saying right before he spins out, he knocked over his video camera when trying to make the switch. I've been spontaneously laughing about that one all day and feel I must share. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJC_FdoQskM |
You don't need brakes for the P51 using a stick StarFOZ..........that vid is great Draux...I crashed just before that happened so missed it.

The P47 taxi's well once you get her down. Most others though are extremely sluggish and not to responsive :( I might have to switch to the pad when flying "free flights" In one now (sort of) and the FW190 is ridiculous :( i should of flown something more fun. Trying to form up on anyones wing just isnt happening either. |
Anyone want to do this on xbxo with me? This looks SWEET and FUN!!!!.
|
OMG that was priceless. Not owning the game yet I'm hanging out to get it and get on line. That was a million dollar stall and the voice of mayday going downing down............mahahahahahha.
Keep the vids rolling and I hope to see you in the sky soon. |
There's a lot to be had from this title other than just combat (patch or no patch!) thats for sure.....if that clip helps to promote the 'plusses' of this game then it's priceless. Young JE (who's voice you can hear) is a natural SIM flyer and climbing up the rankings pretty rapidly considering he has only had this title a few weeks and always flys in cockpit view........
