I earned the platinum trophy!!
 

Yep!! My first platinum. It took over three months and probably wouldn't have happened without the patch. The weapons unlocks were just too hard before. My scores in sim mode in the campaign were shit, but now that I know how to beat the battles, I intend to repeat them and up my scores. A very fun and exciting experience!!! A great way to enjoy all the game has to offer. You don't HAVE to go online to have a great time with this game. I sure like seeing that one platinum on my profile!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!

hmm shame though cos im going to take a p47 and shoot ur trophy cabinet :D

What's a Platinum? is it the PS3 version of 1000/1000?
Anyway congrats.

Anybody actualy know how the scores work in campaign and single missions, they seem completely random to me. I can have a great mission and get only a couple hundred points, then have what I think is a pretty bad mission and get a score of over 3000.

Wow man, congrats. This is by far one of the hardest platinums to get IMO due to the lack of players. Though Demon's Souls... now that platinum almost had me ripping my hair out. :evil:

I guarentee you'll shoot my trophy case out. Platinum doesn't mean I'm any damn good, just dogged! Reguarding scores, the one thing I figure for sure is your deaths are a big part of it. On the Reichstag mission in Berlin I used up 24 planes. 24! Enemy AI and flak is devastating in that mission. It took forever to figure out the targets with no target marking and the whole time I was getting my ass shot off. My score was, ready for this? 8! Hahahaha. 8! It was good enough for a mission complete, though, and that's all I was looking for.

That's right, and I love it! I choose what I want. I haven't landed on "my" plane yet, but the FW ain't it. Although the FW IS fast as hell and has good guns. I like the Yaks but my shooting is so bad I need firepower. The Spits are nice but everybody flies them and they don't handle damage very well. The Hurri is real good but it lacks speed. The LAs same as Yak. 109??? Maybe.

When I first started out, my shooting was horrid. I tried the Bf109-G6 and omg it tore people up! lol. You don't need to have good aim to use the G6! :)

No you don't lol - I love the G6 because I suck at shooting. It is a bit of a brick in sim tho. I guess I could try the K4 instead, which just seemed to me like a really fast G6...

congrats! no way I will ever get the plat in this game. Only got mine in codW@W, mw2, and burnout paradise. This one is too hard to get.

LOL you can't say that when you've complete WaW on veteran - that is truly an excercise in persistence in the face of irritation. Grenade spam anyone? At least the BoP platinum is an enjoyable one...although getting 5 kills without dying and winning 30 dogfights could be a struggle these days.

Well getting a plat in this game is hard for me, I'm not too good with flying games, first person shooters are were I excel. And yes W@W was a bitch, especially the last two levels.

just join an arcade match and use the i 153 i got a score of 13 kills to 1 death in a 10 minuite match

It only took a year but I got mine this weekend. That dam Nuts mission on Sim was well "nuts " Must have played that level a 100 times or more .

This patch was released for the PS3, and it lowered the unlock requirements for the aircraft and weapon loadouts. That's all i know about it.

I only know of one guy that i fly with regularly who has 1000/1000 on xbox(chester).I think there might be one other guy but i can't think of his name.;)
