online unlocks
 

Looking through the unlock list is pretty confusing with multiple ways to unlock things, so which are the planes that can only be unlocked through online play.

There are only a few.

B17
Fw190F
He111-H3
Me109G-10
Me109K
Ju87D
Spitfire XVI
Il-4

thats off the top of my head, I think I remembered them all lol

You don't need to bother unlocking anything.... once you have the hurricane then thats all you'll need :D

Are these online unlock lists different for the PS3 and the 360?

I unlocked the Ta 152 during my first online dogfights.

I setup a dogfight server and played with a damn good 109 pilot. I got 5 (or 6?) kills in a row and when the game ended, I had the Ta 152.

Only in regards to the Ta152 and P47. The 152 was always supposed to be unlocked with one online win after the title update. Or a much longer winded process before...

i loved all of this thread but all you need is the b17 or spit ix and you will be fine

btw i did a stupid thing and i read this in school during break many people thought i had no life laughing at this

Oh wow, it's so much easier to unlock things now. A lot more sensible

i had the strangest thing happen to me the other night. i was playing an arcade strike battle (only match available) and i used the fw190 to take out some b-17's. i quit the match early because it was a hopeless, lopsided battle... yet i managed to unlock the b-17!!!

now, prior to the patch, i played a number of strike matches with bombers but i knew i was still a number of victories away from unlocking the b-17. it just seems strange that i managed to unlock the plane without winning and without using a bomber. go team irrelevant, i guess. lol.

Is the 190 any good now?

not a significant difference in sim mode, in my opinion. i still turn down the elevator sensitvity about halfway to keep it stable.

LOL I had a similar thing before the patch... I unlocked the B17 and a payload for it that required several B17 strike wins in the same unlock screen..?! I'm not complaining mind you.
