We're all waiting for the patch, so I don't expect too much flaming. The flaming is mostly if people criticize others, which you don't do.
I'm waiting for the update, although I might play the occasional game if I see people online.

I think some of you misunderstood the original post, which was asking how many people have STOPPED playing BoP, solely because they are sick of the bugs/mistakes and are waiting for the patch before they play it again.

I'm waiting for the patch but i am certainly still playing as well, so that is a big NO from me.

Not playing until patched. But also not holding my breath. Demon's Souls is my focus right now. Then, probably MW2. Sad that this game is getting lost in the mix given the circumstances.

Got tired of waiting & tried out WWIIOL again, now I'm hooked. IL-2 1946 is really nice with the new update but haven't tried it online yet.

Even if i hadn't got the RROD I'm done.... I've seen what they plan on including in this patch, in the list on the Dev's forum, and it doesn't even scratch the surface of all the problems. They've stuck two fingers up at the fans all the way along. So I'm done, I will see what this patch actually does, and if I'm not impressed I'll trade it in.

yup, id happily go back to it though even if they just added a wingman option to training mode or whatever it was called just so I can occasionally customise by own battles but thats not even in the patch:(

i allready emailed 1c and they have emailed back with all the info on the patch that they had but they are not the content publisher 505games are and i emailed 505 game and im still waiting on a reply if you ask me they are not going to reply they dont give a sh** so what makes you think they will take any notice of this thread ???

I respectfully disagree. I think it's reasonable for somebody to want their thread to stay on topic. Especially because there aren't really any mods here to tell you to do otherwise, we all need to work things out amongst ourselves.

Someone will take notice because when we all act as a team; disappointed in the time it takes to get something done, then it's equivalent to a protest lol.

Anyway, I'm just going to be practising flying around in sim mode until the Me262 - but more importantly - the Fw190, P-51D and P-47 begin to fly like fighters. That way, I can feel a little better when I fight or fly these planes.

I too have stopped playing until the patch comes out, however if it arrives after the 10th November that I'm affraid Modern Warfare 2 is always going to win.

respectfully there's nothing we can work out amongst ourselves, the dev's as you say aren't here, and don't care. The update will come when it will come, and one petty boycott petition won't change a thing, so frankly a friendly conversation between a couple of people doesn't really make any odds to a thread that will go as un-noticed as the many others on this forum.

don't get me wrong, I WISH they'd fix it, I WISH that this would do some good, truly I do. I get it, there's a boat load of flaming going on, (although as someone else commented, you should see the OpFlash forums, anyone who says anything negative is getting banned and their posts deleted pretty much)

but the Devs don't read this, they have their own separate forum to ignore. I think alot of people are going to be VERY disappointed by the patch, and after all this whining, and waiting, and boycotting, they'll get the patch and be absolutely heart broken that it doesn't cover 1/4 of the problems. But frankly they have no-one to blame but themselves when people start trading in their games, for Modern Warfare 2 :S

you have no need to apologise, but I think you'll find there's a plethora of people waiting who will return once the patch is released, that isn't your problem, the problem comes, when they're all disappointed by it. I for one can't wait, I just hope they've done it properly.

Well anyone who is taking a break until the patch comes out then thats fine, each to their own. doesnt affect the rest of us who play this game religiously with or without the patch and enjoy it either way because were a good bunch and we play a good fair game.

This thread is pointless. They wont read it, they dont need to. They know the majority are not happy or are in a rush to get this patch.... they already know this, so wont bother checking this.

The whole "patch" issue is getting really boring now. It'll be here when its ready, nothing we can do will hurry the process up. If you like the game then play it and enjoy it until it does arrive.

we play on the 360 most nights, granted usually not all together at once, but most of us do!! we enjoy each and every game and newcomers come in and join in the fun. We "forget" about the patch issue because we all play well and dont crash on purpose, we let players get their kills etc. Its a great atmosphere and for as long as we play it will remain a great atmosphere.

If your a 360 player then jump in one night, you'll soon forget about the patch after a couple of games. No doubt when MW2 gets here anyway you'll forget this game and play that religiously. On the hardcore will stick around.

Hardly complaining though when i've singled out the 360 players who play each night and enjoy the game! Maybe join us one night and you'll forget about the patch, Its late, im tired, i cant be fucked arguing but if you wish to then erm... go for it.

Haven't played it for weeks. Keep checking for title update info everywhere, but going to stop doing that too!

By the way, I ordered this game a year in advance, and bought a hori ace-edge from Japan on E-bay(just for this game). Seriously, I've stopped playing it. No update, no sequel. Cheers!

I'm on PS3 and I have not been able to get a multiplayer game in the last 3 trys. Thats giving it 30 mins by creating a session, sitting on the couch, playing guitar, reading ,picking my nose and waiting waiting waiting waiting. I hope the patch does SOMETHING to fix the MP otherwise its a lost cause.

I've done nothing but defend this game and stick around, but were all adults so lets face facts..... the patch will come out but the players wont be coming back in their masses. COD is out next week, everyone will be playing that, its going to be a great game theirs no denying it.

Unfortunately gentlemen i fear this is the end of BoP, only a select few will be sticking around, but as the days turn to weeks and no more players turn up then they will move onto other games. I fear our great adventures will be over soon because the patch wasnt released sooner.

I don't think it will die. Some will stay, at least every night there are about 60 people online on ps3. Otherwise I am more into the single-player. I just recently bought the DLC and I can't wait for some more to continue the missions. Also I for one won't be buying mw2, cod4 was great, and cod W@W was even better(ww2 nut) but mw2 looks to be way to easy for me. And yes, it will be hard for BOP to tear people away from MW2, Forza 3, Borderlands, and Dragon Age. As far as the 360 side of it goes.

I hate to disagree foz mate, but have you looked at the list in the Dev's forum, it barely touches the issues. I think you'll be very disappointed. Don't get me wrong I'll still be on and playing it once I get my Xbox back from germany, but I'm not holding my breath that they're going to do something of any value.

Honestly, I haven't played BoP in weeks, but it's not because I'm waiting for a patch come out. In fact, I might play it today.

Nevertheless, I will stay on this forum when MW2 comes out. I'm positive lots of people will buy it and have a great time playing it, but I'm not getting it since it seems like MW with a 2 put in the title.

If you aren't playing BoP because there are all sorts of problems, that's fine by me. But I bought the game and so I'm going to enjoy it.

Forza 3, Operation Flashpoint 2 and Borderlands are stealing my time at present :) I will continue to play IL2 regardless of a patch although I'm eagerly awaiting it's arrival too.

Yep.... but still learning to cope and make do with things as they are.

I just avoid using all the aircraft that need the patch, which is a lot unfortunately and fly mainly in arcade mode online until they sort out unreal stalling problems in dives..... I've both had a stall warning and overspeed crash at the same time.... actually impossible in reallfife.

I'm still ranked #1 in the world on simulator dogfight and I've refused to touch the game for about a month. So I know I am not the only one who doesn't play anymore.

No flying for this Goat until the patch comes out. My frustration with this game runs too high in order for me to deal.

OK I just found out we are waiting for sony for the release .;But I was under the understanding that it was MS.JUST how does this work.If this is a bothersome or redundant question.Im sorry but im curious as to how the process works and one other thing I have made post complaining about the update.But please no one make the mistake of thinking ,I think there is anything wrong about the game. IL-2 is head and shoulders above any flight sim ever put on console.Im just frustrated by the time delay on the update.And I have decided to keep the old XBOX Even with the problems this game is fun and makes it worth playing xbox even with the problems, even if we never get the update.

I'm number 4 on arcade team battle (X-Box 360) as this is the only mode that allows aerobatic maneuvers without unrealistic stalls and spins.

Try pulling a "Retournnent" or "Immelmann" in realistic or simulator without the aircraft freaking out. Only the most modest of turns are allowed outside of arcade mode until the patch hopefully fixes it.

The majority of players currently stay in arcade until thing are fixed. Also Flashpoint came out recently and that is aimed at hardcore gamers, just like BOP. They'll return to BOP once they've become bored with it.

well i can pull of immelmann and barrel rolls and split s in realistic and sim mode no probs mate maybe you should tweek your setting a bit it differs for each plane :confused:

some of the stalls/spins for SOME aircraft are a bit overdo in sim/realistic. But dont tell me you find the aerobatic maneuvers in arcade more realistic than in sim :P. in arcade you have such an insane speed, that any aircraft, can make any maneuver it wants to to. including an outside loop with a bomber :rolleyes:.

I've seen the way you fly :) :P its not wonder you cant pull those maneuvers lol.

In all seriousness though mate, this is the second or third time you've complained about this and for the second or third time ive replied saying IT CAN BE DONE, without probs.

Chnge your settings or try doing it in something other than a Bf110 :D

As I download my 54meg update for Borderlands on PS3, I patiently wait for BoP's update to play again... ten days ago this Borderlands game was released. ten days ago!

COOL!!! I've been playing the crap out of it for the past week and I'm pretty close to the end (Level 26) -- but maybe this will add a little more to it. What a great game this has been -- like Fallout 3 with less drama and more killing:grin:

well i brought dirt2 the other day and as soon as i turned on my xbox and started it there was an update and this game came out the same time as il2 ????
all these games getting updates allready that and the fac that 505 are not answering any emails ive sent about the title update make me think they are going to abandon this title :(:(:evil:
