I'm new to this forum so I wanted to say hi first.
I really love his game even though I'm definitely not an ace yet (InfiniteStates and Nephilim can confirm lol).
My fav mode is sim but so far I could only play 1on1 matches, hope we can set up a huge battle soon!

Ps. I have a PS3 :)

Welcome! Sim mode is a win and battles with multiple planes really are a lot of fun. There's a lot of joy in trying to sneak up on people and trying to figure out if you've been spotted. Much better than mashing the A button in realistic!

Sim mode is the only mode that allows for cat-and-mouse gameplay, and opens up a load more tactical options such as diving into valleys then turning to shake pursuers.

Yeah sim mode is definitely deeper as game experience than the other two (which are enjoyable as well, but sim ftw!).
It's a shame still few people are not playing it. But since we're few, we might arrange every now and then a sim night :)

Just make sure you're not teaming with me if you want to win lol!!

I've only just bought the game this week too. I completed the training modes last night and unlocked Realistic and sim mode.

I haven't tried Sim mode yet but Realistic was soo much better than Arcade!! :)

You actually have to use some skill to follow a plane and shoot it down. Plus I found it far more realistic to land on realistic (Prob why they called it that!). I had to fight a little to steady the plane and it made it a lot more satisfying when I landed.

I've played for about three hours so far and I'm loving it! And I haven't even started the missions yet!!

Don't listen to him - he's a valuable asset to have on your wing, as DoraNine and his mate can probably testify too ;)

I can't say I enjoyed that first game we played -- with you in the IL-2, I think the score was something like this:

DoraNine 3 kills
Tur-Kish 2 kills
Hrok81 4 kills
Infinite States 5 kills
Infinite States Tail Gunner 12 kills

That guy shooting out the back of your plane was a true marksman. Damn, it was more dangerous being on your six than having you behind me on that one. That's okay though -- next time I see you loading up one of those planes I'm just going to fly a bomber:cool:

lol Dora that was a pretty funny game cause it was 2 (Infinite and I) vs 3 (DoraNine, Tur-kish and Wolfheart85), basically I had to deal with one enemy while Infinite had two all the time.
Initially I thought "it's gonna be a tough one", but after seeing in-game log in which "InfiniteStates killed..." was a non-stop :grin: , well, glad to have you on my wing Infinite!! :)

Well -- Infinite had no problem taking on two, because while he was shooting Tur-Kish, his tail gunner was shooting me:-x

Dude, you do realise that you can switch to tail gunner and control it manually don't you? :)

You think the AI kills people that fast...? Hey, if people are going to keep flying into the kill box trying to shoot me down, I'm not going to take it lying down :-P

And anyway, after listening to your (or your mate's - can't tell who's speaking) light-hearted moaning in the next lobby I switched to Spitfire anyway.

Great games though. Next stop - simulation...? Hopefully us 4 against others, but I won't hold my breathe for an 8 player sim game. I think the most I've managed is 2v2. But it would be good to rematch last night's games without the red arrows of doom.


P.S: it was an IL-10. The IL-2 doesn't have a tail gun...

P.P.S: I said I would watch your six if you were on my team.

P.P.P.S: Does the tail gunner AI actually ever score kills for you?
