Having Trouble Landing? Try This!

Hope this helps some of you. And don't forget to sign up to the newsletter :D:grin: |
That didn't look at all like the finals I usually make . I'm more for the 60 degrees descent angle... Although you need more speed to flare then. Can't believe you landed with just +/- 120 :P. Nice landing though.

Anyway, that's a really nice landing, but it looks far too risky for me. Especially in bad weather or during Capture the Airfields. |
Awesome

I usually circle around, that is if I have to much speed and don't want to climb to burn it off. Kinda counter intuitive doing that way, but sometimes it works. Anyway, I usually just circle around and come in low in the end; and make a perfect landing.

you know what would make my landings easier?
wheel brakes on my av8r :( |

You mean "Hear, hear" ;)

I had trouble landing on the original IL-2 on PC, so I signed up with an online flight school  (Joint Ops)
Great tuition... |
It works, but it isn't pretty. Pull it off in an Arado and I'll be impressed. Feel free to use the main airfield at Manston rather than Hawkinge/Lympne - you'll almost certainly need it for the run-out.

What plane was that - it didn't seem to be one prone to nose tipping?
A video of landing an LA5FN might help a lot of people if you show them how to counter it's tendancy to plant it's propeller in the ground at around 60 ;) |
That's all nice and dandy ( I really appreciate your videos btw ) but it's a Hurricane, not a Spitfire, which is unfortunately one of the planes we need to land more often than not in the campaign and single missions ( Inspect Airfields *cough* *cough* ).
Landing the Spit on sim mode is a lottery, at least for me :( |
I have no problems with landings...
... the fact that it took 35 times of trials and errors wich include crashing down. Flips overs, AND Wheels braking off, makes me an expert! ;)    |
