I'd pay Eur 10... or Eur 20... or more. No German cockpits is one of most serious drawbacks...

Korsakov829 10-16-2010 02:04 PM

Only would bother if they included more fronts and planes, like Africa, Crimea, Finnland, France, Japan, Crete, etc. 20 Euros are not worth it unless you get more fronts and planes.

i wonder how far you could go with this. of course you would be able to patch and fix glitches....you could probably have add on missions where you can charge or give away. the il2 PC guys make up new missions all the time and add ac....makes me a little jealous.

Great to see McQ59's input has awoken such bold fantasies. However I'd just be happy to see German cockpits coming our way (PS3) within a reasonable period of time. There's of course more to it than meets the eye. Perhaps I can give an update on the situation shortly.

Meanwhile, please get as many people as you can to vote here. There are costs involved in making this happen, and we need to see a minimum of (pledged) commitment here.

Thanks.

Hey Mac

As of looking at early posts on this forum, there is a load of players absent per date that used to play the game and attend the forum.

Maybe its an idea to send them a PM as a reminder and ask them to vote ?

Hey Kav,

Are the cows coming home?

;)

No, seriously, I appreciate your input. I'm quite sure you'd be as happy as anyone to see it happen, and can't blame those who are sceptical about it.

Perhaps not such a bad idea you're having, although who knows if those who are not playing the game any longer would really buy, even if some would vote yes (which is a fairly loose commitment anyway).

I see a lot of new Arcade players around these days online, I have some hopes in them. I believe many don't find their way to this forum though, since the game directs players to the yuplay forum, which is rather dead for this game.

So here's an idea for all who want to help:

- send PM's to those you used to play with and ask them to vote
- send invites to the 1C company forum to online newbees you come accross via PSN messages.

Once again, thanks for your input KAV. Appreciate it.

I am sure this game will keep on recruiting players and pilots. I mean... I think Blazing Angels still are alive online. Believe it or not!

I think a good strategy to get new players in sim, is for the vets in there to go easy on the new ones. Give them a break, and do a little evasive flying in the beginning of a mission to see if they handle the mode. Let them even kill you a few times. Theres a lot of really good pilots in sim that really has nothing left to prove - and the only way to get new players to stay in the mo(o)d(e) is to give them a reason to get back. Turn on your mics and do a little tutoring in stead of shooting them straight out of the sky. My opinion anyway...

Amen Brother I have been saying this for a long time .

killing some one 15 or more times while they more then likely have not even been able to see your aircraft yet ( if its sim ) . Is no fun for victim and drives them away from the game . Same in realistic I watch the scores and will often try and place my self in front of a strugling player so that they at least can get one kill. 2 and 15 is so much less painfull it seems then 0 and 15

Good point McQ59, and if I may add, we should really tell the newbies about this forum, there's plenty of good information and always a helping hand around.
Hopefully we can keep this forum up for a long time to go. If you look at the number of entries, we're only barely behind IL-2 Sturmovik, which has been around much longer.

I really don't see much in a new player who shouts "Oh f*** a Communist how do I get rid of him?" as soon as you join a game.
