Which version of the Ju 88 do we get? I really like her in IL2, but I seem to remember the version that flew during the BoB was still having considerably teething problems.
For the German side, I would really have loved to have the Do 17 Schnellbomber flyable. They did some daring low level stuff early on, which is the way I like to fly bombers (suicidal, I know). |

Am I allowed just to put a Defiant on the ground and stare at it until I get tired?

Have thought long about it, but every time I end up depicting myself in a 109:grin:
After that the Heinkel 111, of course, beautiful plane;) http://www.wwiivehicles.com/germany/...-bomber-04.png Does anyone know if that's Franz von Werra's lion, or were they just popular mascots? :) |

There's an awesome story that Raul Lufberry went AWOL for a whole week and when he was finally discovered bar-hopping in the bistros and restaurants of Paris, he was taking a stroll with a wine bottle in one hand and a full-grown lion on a leash in the other, but i don't know if it's confirmed or simply a legend. What most people agree on as reliable information however is that the lion's name was Whiskey  |
Hurricane with the Canadian 242 squadron codes on tail so the bastages in the bombers I just raked know who too blame! Neck on swivel watching for the 110 or 109 escort at all times tho.
Wish me luck, I'm always in need of that! |

as a child i was just mesmerised by its shape. i can remember coming home from primary school to my working prop, working gear and control surface 109G model in 1/48 size, and sometimes just lying on the floor staring at it. i chose it from the shop, my father helped me build it. keep in mind the internet simply didnt exist, computers were certainly not in the home and all the aircraft info i could get was in rarely bought magazines. the 109E with the blue sides and black top? evokes memories of those times, all these years later. heheheh in another style of analogy, metaphor etc.... the spitfire was the barbi doll blonde and blue. yeah, nice. Yawn. the 109 was the bigger hipped, bigger chested raven haired dark eyed smoldering mystery with ruby red lips.... .... just so much more intoxicatingly attractive? :) |
