perhaps, u can edited a timeline to the rounds. it startet 1940 and a round goes 6 month, for example. so we have to choose a lot more planes during the whole battle. and not everytime the most powerful plane of each fraction. ^^
like the idea of haitch40.

Thats a good idea, although that might cause problems when conquering regions. For example, Team A captures France during the first round, but because the round is still set in 1940, they wouldn't be allowed to access any of the US aircraft. Likewise, conquering Italy early on would be almost pointless, whereas conquering Germany straight away would give access to the early 109's and Heinkels.

Another thing to consider is picking the best hosts to stage the games. We need to find out who has the best upload speed's and then designate a few players from both sides, and different regions, to host the games. Otherwise it may turn into a lag fest if we get the sort of number Edal is talking about

hmmm, seems to be difficult, with the timeline. maybe "the brain"- edal have an idea. ^^

i tested my i-net connections on http://www.speedtest.net/
10,88 mb/s download
0,67 mb/s upload
ping 34
(server <50 miles away)
im a it-noob... is that a good connection ?

F**ked if I know mate, I was hoping you might know about such things!!
I know that 10mb download is pretty decent (mine's only 8mbps, but i'm lucky if I get 4mbps ), but too run a decent server I think you need to have a good upload speed. Maybe one of the more tech-savvy types around here can help?

+1 right there...

Upload speed is the most important. We might need some "host tryouts"? lol

Yeah, I have to say, those games you were hosting last night were impressive. The only time there was lag was when someone left, but that is standard issue (and brief). That is an unusually high upload speed you have there though. Do you live next door to the Pentagon, and they didn't password their wireless network? Noobs lol.

You now go on my esteemed list of people I've seen hosting a 10+ player match without problem. The list now consists of 2. And I can't remember who the other guy was... :)

EDIT: I've tested my maximum hosting capacity and it turns out to be 8 players.
