FINAL VERSION

As far as I could see there is not much to improve anymore, so I decided
to finish my work on this mod.

The final version (v. 1.0) will be almost identical to Beta-3, perhaps
I add some minor changes.

Uh... Have you played the MoT demo yet? What did you think of the new German phrases and dialogue?

I downloaded the demo two days ago, but I had no time to test it.
I'll infom you when I've checked them out...

So unpacked all sound files and played some of them:

1. Most new voice files are without any accent or error. It seems they're spoken by native speakers.
2. The voice files from DtS, which are still implemented in MoT, have of course the same weirdness...

Edit:// I implemented some of the new ones (Acces only for officers and most female voices) to my addon. :)

I'm looking for german native speakers or others who
can read/write German on a native speaker level.

My itention is to translate MoT to German (strings only)!
Some kind of unofficial localization mod.

You replaced the pianist's character model in "Embassy" from one of Volkov's bodyguards to the hotel manager. You did not mention this change in your changelog. In addition, if you kill the pianist, the game will regard it as if you killed an agent, even though you replaced the model.

I think nobody does this so I let it as it is...

I also suggested having a warden's uniform in the bedroom near the conference hall in "Stronghold". Have you done that, or have you given up on that?

Thank you so much for doing this. Totally awesome!! Well, I assume it is, with all the hard work you did. Its not out here in the US yet (comes out tomorrow I think) so Ill grab it then.

I have some 2D / 3D animation skills, though looks like you are much more advanced than me. You can see some of the movies and 'mock commercials' I made for Hitman and splinter cell at my website. If you need anything, no matter how trivial, I would love to help. Give me the crap stuff you dont want to do. I could manage a website for you or whatever with news updates, 3D animation, non-linear video editing, what have you. Just name it. Least I can do for making this MOD for us. Thanks so much!!

Well I finished my work on my DtS mod and at the moment I'm working
on my other mod for "Operation: Matriarchy" which will be finished soon.

Next I planned a HighRes Texture Mod for one of the first three Hitman parts.
I still cannot decide which one. Perhaps I take Hitman II - Silent Assassin.

Do you know some special Hitman Tools or documentations of file formats
related to Hitman? Till now I just found two tools for Hitman...

I'm wished to make a HiRes mod for Hitman I/II/III for long ago, but
till now there was just one tool a LOC-Tool or somthing like that, I
dunno wat it exactly does.

Know, about two weeks ago a found a brand new tool. A texture
extractor for the Hitman engine. But I don't know if it's only for
unpacking or for repacking. I did not any tests till now.

But if its possible, I wann create a HiRes mod for Hitman, because I
find the graphics quite good, but they a kind of pale.

Is Moment of Truth an add-on, or a whole new game? I thought it was a sequel. I cannot find it here in US (though I think it is avail on steam download - I like buying the box / dvd though) And Amazon stated its been pushed back till 8/31!! Im so ticked!! I want that game.

and yes, you can Mod Hitman. Which I thought thats what you were using, as this looks very Hitman like. To my knowledge though, you can only do like textures skins, etc, I dont think you can do levels or gameplay, but I could be wrong.

I guess Ill have to play Velvet Assassin until this comes out. ((sigh...))

Dts MoT is a standalone Addon. As far as I know till now, it's only
available via download...


Yes till now you can only modify the textures, but that's what I wanna do
for my "Hitman X Improved Textures Mod". ;)

Sorry for bringing this thread up again, but I've just gone through some of the dds files in PhotoShop, and apparently, the new characters introduced in AHO's mod bear a resemblance to some characters in MoT.

The second male scientist (Project Y) resembles one of the new Soviet peasants (Renegades), the second male peasant (Paycheck) resembles Igor Tsavalov (Shefferd) and Paul Weber's new head (Winter Cold) resembles Colonel Hudson (Dora).

Do you guys know if this works in Windows 7? I cant seem to save the files back into the directory. I get a checksum error. Just wanted to know before I start pulling hairs out.

I have hykao's uncesnored textures and voice mod installed. I want to install your mod as well, but I'm not sure about the compatability of it with those two. I also know that your's includes the textures so can you please tell me how I should go about installing this mod?

Okay, I have a few questions. I've removed all mods from the game and am going to start installing them again.
So my questions are -
-Does your mod include hykao's Russian speech patch 1.2?
-If it doesn't, in what order should I install your mod and his speech mod?
-Hykao's first and then yours? Or the other way round?
- I don't have to install hykao's patch 1.1 texture mod because yours
contains all the textures, right?

I think it doesn't matter which order it is. I never used hykao's patch when using DtS. AHO's mod has the uncensored textures already provided. Hope this helps!

I'm not AHO, but I can answer for some parts of your question :)

It's very easy to check. Just try to open some files from Sounds folder.

Yes. Also AHO corrected some textures for the spelling errors.

Hmm, I installed the speech and then AHO's mod and am getting CTD's. I then tried putting each folder in individually and it didn't work. Does anyone know if in AHO's textures
swastikas appear on the armbands?

first some background information:
I've already integrated blood and uncensored textures. And Yes the
swastikas are visible on the armbands.

I do not implemented the russian speech but I've taken the sub titles code
from hykao's mod.


Second how to install properly:

1. hykaos russian speech mod
2. then my mod

or

1. my mod
2. Only sound files (*.ogg) from hykaos mod

I'm not sure if hos script files for cutscenes are compatible with mine.
As far as I remembe not completely.

Hi there! Well, thanks for the reply, but I think I finally got it worked out. It's the scripts folder of the mod that is causing the frequent CTD's on my system. I'm sure it's just my computer that's the problem and not your mod. Everything else works fine, including hykao's stuff. Apart from the blood, what else is included in the scripts?

When I heard there was a mod to enhance this wonderful game I was most overjoyed - but being a novice I cannot seem to get my head around how to install it, now I download all the necessary components the VFS tool, addon itself and the English files.

what next, I execute the vfs tool, then I open the vfs files

what do I do next, when I try save all I get an error saying "Header checksum illegal. Can someone help a poor noob get his head around what to do please?

You're supposed to extract the VFS files one at a time.

Ah do you mean I should extract - Level.vfs then save it, then do Models.vfs and save it and so on?

Correct! Click on "Close" once you've saved a VFS file.

Hello, can someone please tell me how to install this. I am slightly confused by the instructions given. I have read up on what this add on does and it's a MUST HAVE. Please help.

*EDIT*: I downloaded all the things i need for the enhancement mod. I need to know HOW to use the VFS unpacker to put the files into the game.

Still no help? common people please. I just need to know how to use the Vfstool, thats it. How do i "Unpack" the mod? i get that i have to unpack it. But how?? It might take a few minutes to explain this tops....

Don't know how to switch the game files with the modded ones using the unpacker. I got a PM, I will check that and see if it offers any assistance. Thank you for the reply OSS, someone should post a video on this.

You have to unpack the VFS files from the game. There are no ones in my mod...

Oh. Ok the Vfs files in the game, alrighty i'll do that. One at a time or? is there a video on this?

You have to unpack vfs files to directorys with the name of files.. So for example, if you unpack sounds.vfs, than all content from this file must go to Sounds directory.

so:

textures.vfs goes to "death to spies\textures" folder
sounds.vfs goes to "death to spies\sounds",
models goes to "death to spies\models"

etc..

then, when you unpack all the needed files, just install mod on top of that..
and you also must remove unpacked vfs files from the game directory ( or game still will be using data from the vfs'es)..

I'm not french and can't understand your system messages :)
You can try to copy files yourself, without the bat-file. Levels from mod folder should be copied to Levels from game folder, Players from mod folder - to Players to game folder and so on.

Even doing that it does not work :(

If you need uncensored textures only - try to download MoTmod uncensored textures pack 1.00. It's about 26 megs.

My game is a british golden édition.

You shouldn't run this file. It's 7-zip archive. Just unpack .dds files from the archive to the game folder (you should overwrite game files with the archive contents).

The first game was published by Nobilis, the other by Aspyr. Seems HG was looking for a publisher that was willing to leave everything uncensored before localizing MoT.

Are you planning to work on another skins?

I don't know really how to explain (my english is very bad), but when we are disguised, the heads of the ennemy soldiers looks always at the player and it's very annoying. Specially when they are "green" and are supposed to be friendly soldiers (for yellows\reds I don't care).

There are no simple fix for this problem. It is possible to disable for animation, but globally. Like smoking for example (before - after):

I don't find any files for that, I try to erase/move "headanim" but nothing changes... Please help!

Open ai.shadvs and look at "animations" section. Copy any animation with ManualHead = true parameter and rename it (animation) to Act_Rasplata_Smoking. Now all enemies will not look at you while smoking.
Use shadvs2txt and txt2shadvs tools (by Csaboka) to edit shadvs files.

First of all great work on this mod. I played DTS a long time ago and reinstalled it today. I would like to use your mod but it doesn't seem to work. I did all the necessary steps but once I start the game I get a black screen and nothing happens. Game works fine without it. You say that you need v1.1 of DTS but I can't find it anywhere on the internet. Could this be the issue or is it something else? I have windows 7

Version 1.1 is only relevant for original russian version. ALL localized versions are already at patch-level 1.1.

Solution for your problem: Delete both videos (avi) of my mod!

How did you do the installations process exactly?

1. Installed DtS
2. Used VFS unpacker to unpack the archives, one at a time, everything without a problem
3. Unpacked the add-on, incl. english texts
4. Used backup.bat to backup the original files
5. Started the game with and without your avi's

As far as I know I didn't start the game before applying the add-on

No just the basic retail version. I'll try to install everything again and see if I have any luck :)

Does this addon work with the Gold Edition?

I have followed the instructions to the letter but the game just loads as regular vanilla. It isn't acknowledging the modifications.
