No difference in frame rate here are pre patch and post patch video same settings and location.
I found that having the mirror on, no longer reduces FPS by 20.
Pre-patch
Post-patch

Average 25 FPS after patch with aero disabled

BLACK SCREEN CAN BE WORKED AROUND BY CLICKING ON THE DESKTOP WHEN YOU SEE THE INITIAL CROSSHAIRS!

I know it shouldnt happen, but it works for now until its sorted, which im sure it will be later. And im guessing its nvidia related.

Found initial rendering of buildings still causing slight stutters (alot less than before patching). When u get closer, rendering of building detail causing stutter.

Im now able to fly with forest on full.

Now able to turn on grass.

Land Shading, detail and Shadows caused a massive loss of performance, ran best at low or off.

Everything else on full.

I just had two quick test runs with the new patch, 2xHurri against 5 twin bombers. Over all, fps have increased by about 15, with higher fps when flying alone. Stuttering, especially over land, hasn't improved much.

This game finally feels playable for me :)

I don't have time right now for extensive testing, but in the 1/2 hr or so I put in, the game "feels" better, but frames are only up slightly. I still have some stutters, but it seems improved. I like the rest of the improvements a lot, multiplayer is way better.

For those, like me, who can't even run the game post patch (Logo, 5 secs, exit before black screen), I suggest you go to your Steam library and turn off the automatic updates in case a solution is not found before tomorrows patch and you want to play what you have.

A reminder - if you use steam to verify the game cache from local files it will undo the manual patch.

Other things I have tried to fix this issue which have failed:

1) Cloud synch on/off to ensure my conf is good (have original install conf in Cloud)

2) reapplied patch after cache integrity check which resets the install on patched files

Apart from either my Steam install being in the non standard directory (M:/ disk) or some odd hardware mismatch (unlikely as spec if mainstream), I've run out of ideas on this one.

I am using the 11.3 drivers. They are the latest official drivers at this current point in time. Several people have confirmed the issue with HD6xxx series card too so its confusing as to what is happening.

That issue aside, I have noticed no difference in FPS. Did a quick flight at sea and flew inland over the smaller villages. FPS out at sea was relatively smooth as always, as soon as I moved inland the FPS dropped and the game gets that choppy feeling again just as it did before. It is disappointing but that said it is a beta patch so final release might be better.

I also noticed that the sound bug where you hear the undercarriage as if its always rolling even if you are perfectly still on the ground is still present. :(

Fps seems the same for me in the before and after tests i ran, the game does "feel" smoother than post patch, but maybe thats just wishful thinking.

ps thx for the airfield names in FMB

More mini freezes

The Beta shows up with much more Minifreezes also. I had steady stutters with one AC in Air. In normal Version no stutters and freezes. and as sayed: Less performance and longer Loading time...

Again System: i7 980 Extreme (HexCore) 12 GB Kingston DDR3 RAM, ASUS REVOLUTION MoBo and 2x GF GTX 295 Dual Cards (Quad System).

Same effects with and without SLI....Solong

Running a bit better for me overall. The 'free flight ' mission I saw no change, but in the Manston 018 airfield attack mission that is now playable for me,with 25 + fps in cockpit, with occasional drops down to single figures but better than before.
My resolution is set at 1280 x 800,and tthat did not change when I installed the beta patch.
high plane details
trees off
houses low
4AA
shadows on
everything else at medium.
