a plane from Chitzen Itza. Quimbaya culture. insect in gold.
on display in the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC.
but i think it is a fake.

i was looking at the shape of the cockpit and the wing root. seems to be quite thick.

I agree, and the fact that the exhaust ports are along the bottom of the engine. Does suggest it to be a JU87
