It's amazing on acid... Until you come back down... Then it's just colour contrast...
I wish there were aliens, too... But I doubt they would bother with us humans..... We're a waste of space and time  |
well id say the aliens are coming, you know 2012:
http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/ph...res/fun3d2.gif edit: http://jaredjared.com/chroma.html edit: theyre revealing their secrets: How it Works: ChromaDepth glasses use prismatic filters that separate the image into the visible spectrum. Each color is shifted a different amount resulting in various planes of perceived depth. In the RGB on Black model - Red is closest and Blue is farthest away (with Black at infinity). In the CMY on White model - Cyan is closest and Yellow is farthest away (with White at infinity). http://jaredjared.com/chroma/rgb.gif http://jaredjared.com/chroma/cmy.gif |
Do you suffer from strabismus?
|
C'mon Raaaid be reasonable..
If I don't focus correctly i see the same as you do. People have known about optical illusions for millenia. But only lately have we been able to make those pigments stable. And as to evolving.... well. Degenerating is more like it. |

the only explanation i can find for this thrilling phenomena to only be known for 100 years its that man its evolving fast, the same as were losing our wise teeth
why they werent doing this 500 years ago? http://www.skytopia.com/project/illusion/3d-rays.png in fact my stereovision just started working this last summer no i just have shortsightedness, curiously without glasses i see not depth edit: also i know theres more into this depth perception thing than optic illusion since no optic illusion can explain my seeing this in 3d :) http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e222/raaaid/mw4.jpg also seems the alien know people tend to neglect mentally challenging things: cromostereopsis is not determined as physics is but arbitrary to these two rules: http://jaredjared.com/chroma/rgb.gif http://jaredjared.com/chroma/cmy.gif http://www.ritsumei.ac.jp/~akitaoka/fheart5.gif http://www.ritsumei.ac.jp/~akitaoka/fheart3.gif edit: i couldswear this has depth: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_q9zmKr6gZC...t+Lawrence.jpg how i think this anliel caravagio did it: seems he painted on black background so he used rgb he painted the colour with black and white, black infinite away and white right here, and then give it a depth rgb chemical treatment voila the colour is made by a blindcolour person but the key its the 2nd treatment that only angels can do he painted it with depth paint invisible for humans, well almost invisible edit: also the perception of this being manifested by the blaack in rgb or white in cmy is mind blowing for example in rgb th black that for us are shadows for them are TRANSPARENCIES yes this being live in a different transparencies world a wolrd hardly material, ghostly |
Hey raaaid you've lost me buddy:-?
|
The reason this is a relatively new phenomenon is a result of the 20th century chemical industry and its ability to synthesize the ingredients for making 'primary' colours into paints. Prior to that, paints & dyes where made from a variety of animal, vegetable and mineral sources that gave a more mellow effect.
But it's still not about paints only as you seem to imagine - e.g. "i want some paints like that..." - but the ability to use them. |
