Woot! Thanks Luthier!

I personally think the anger generated on the forums helped to convince Ubi to consider alternatives :-P

Great news.

Thanks to UBI for a logical approach, and thanks to Oleg and the entire team for what had to have been some pretty "interesting" conference calls between Moscow and Paris.

And some thoughts I've been mulling over about UBI Soft.

You know, in the great scheme of things, the IL2 franchise is pretty small time stuff to a big company like UBI. All those big selling console, FPS, and various other titles that dwarf IL2's sales. Did you every stop to think that just maybe UBI sees having the best WW2 air combat simulator in it's stable as a feather in it's cap? A corporate image enhancer? I know I'd feel pretty darned good about having the title that "shot down" Microsoft's high dollar CFS series.

Food for thought the next time you feel like kicking UBI in the chops over a decision that most of us probably know very little about.

awesome possum news 1C, thanks for your hard work in this matter.

Now it seems the many out weigh the few.

Hurrah thats great news thank you, and great for all us SLI and Crossfire users.

Have you seen any reports of people running the Russian "non epilepsy filter" version on SLI/CF rigs? Qurious how much difference it makes. I keep reading abour Russians disabeling CF and doubling their FPS. Sounds right up your ally, as a system builder, to investigate and test this as soon as you get your copy of CoD.

A big thank you for these words. This is kind of a relief. AND it is how a developer and a publisher should listen and communicate. Again, thank you very much.

Just to confirm, this DOES apply to ALL the versions of the game, right?

You might edit the original post, Luthier, just to make that clear.

Will this boost performance and cut the stuttering?

EDIT: Will the game finally be playable?

Thanks

I hope it will, but probably in a gradual way,by my understanding.
The important is that I'm totally confident about the future of CoD now.
Thanks Luthier and Ubi.

Woohoo!!!

This is great news. I'm curious what changed Ubisoft's minds. Was it the wave of cancelled pre-orders and the rage from the forums?

From what luthier wrote before, it seemed that they were pretty much set to enforce the filter.

Anyway, this rocks.
