* Added Force Feedback support to the game;

Hi all. Would any of you in the know - and nobody is more in the know than you, Luthier ;o) -, please, explain a bit further what this 'Added Force Feedback support' is about?.

Does it mean some way of controlling FFB forces' intensity or any other feature related to FFB is finally included in the game?.

Or may be it is the creation of an easier way for developers or programmers in general to get access to FFB data in other to implement it more precisely on FFB joysticks already available?.

Or .... what else?

Many thanks.

Engadin.

Did a new test applying the beta after rolling back to Steam version. Stutters gone! :)
But now I have this land texture on water in some places:

I'm not 100 that this glitch arrived with the latest patch though.

Try cleaning the shaders cache folder in ... \Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\cache\shaders delete all files.

Is recommended do that with every patch upgrade and when you upgrade your video drivers.

I did all that, and a lot more beside, I still get that stuff in the water.

I saw this too sometimes with this beta patch.

Witch is weird is that I did not saw this glitch after upgrade my GPU drivers from 11.4 to 11.5a.

Maybe still there, I have to look further.

The water now is a placeholder so I guess that is giving some problems, I hope that the real water be ready soon.

Do we need to install all beta patches ( 3 so far?)or do they automatically install when I click on STEAM? Or Update them in some automatic way?

The beta patches are not installed automatically through Steam, only the officials ones do that.

Before a patch become official there a beta patch to public testing.

So there only one beta patch available always, because the previous has become official or rejected due a problems.

If you want test it you should install it manually.

Real total is 1gb but absolutely there is something wrong with the code, maybe better crossfiresupport is coming sooner or later, even 1 6990 is enough for that eyefinity settings. Or is that 6990 4gb then he have total 2gb

EDIT : yes it is 6990 4gb so total is 2gb, not 8gb

Crossfire/sli memory is working somehow to RAID harddrive.

I think we are all saying the same thing. My only point was 2GB/GPU and not 1GB/GPU as previous poster had stated.

With 1920x1200 you fill 1GB VRAM easily (game maxed but SSAO).

1920x1200 = 2.304.000 pixels in 1 GB VRAM

Which mean that the appropriate capacity for 2 GB is :

2.304.000 x 2 = 4.608.000 pixels more or less.

Your system exceeds this :

5760x1080 = 6.220.800 pixels

Try lowering the resolution at 3760x1080, it should be in the margins to play the game maxed (4.060.800 pixels) and you will not notice the difference.

Edit :

And up a video, that Eyefinity setup is really cool :)

Thanks for the effort, but as I said this is not a VRAM issue since same stuttering and frame rates happen even at lowest settings. I'll upload a short vid in a few...
