I'm really-really expecting a patch for today from MG..

Blackdog_kt 08-03-2012 12:09 PM

A bit of advance notice, just to be fair.

No matter the state of the update today (no update or text/pics update or patch update), let me urge everyone to discuss what is posted by Blacksix and not use the thread for their personal venting. And by urge, i mean the thread will be closely moderated. In case of off-topic posts, bickering or dueling between users, infractions will be issued and the offending posts moved or deleted.

It's been quite a while since the forum rules have been applied as they are meant to be applied because things were civilized for the most part. If it strays from that and people start acting crazy again, well, there's not much i can do to save someone who doesn't want to be saved
;)

Can we run a poll?

Who here would ask Rebecca Black on a date?

Wow, we're all getting a bit nervy. I can feel the tension building. The boss has lined us up and given us a right ole talking to.

Yes Sir, I will not misbehave if there is no patch. May I be excused. I would like to go to the toilet. :)

if 1c/MG are still working on patches (albeit very slowly) and are also working on a sequel (which process has to address most CoD faults/complaints at the same time) then it means the ship is still going forward, and we have hope of a fixed/working product at the end of this process. at least somebody is doing SOMETHING to fix it and produce a working product. since they cant row faster then they currently are (with their limited team), constantly throwing beer cans and insults at them is rather counter productive.

No person in this forum made them release the game in such a state in the first place and many reasonable people have lost their patience because it still isn't fixed a year and a half after release. Most reasonable people are only reasonable up until a point.

I think people are well aware that there are many problems and I think that is why some people are starting to "throw beer cans" as you put it. But you must realise that people bought into this game mainly because they where told about the depth and realism of the game etc. What I don't think they expected though was for it to have so many bugs after all this time.

No, you have (had) reasonable people who just got fed up, like most reasonable people do when they feel like they are been taken for a ride. People are only reasonable up until to a point because they are not blessed with the patience of a saint. Everyone has a point they get to before they get sick and fed up.

Yes you are right.

I notice your registration date is March 2012.

Your right it was no 'one person' but If you go back a year or so and read the posts you'll see that Maddox Games and 1C were placed under quite a significant amount of pressure from the community to release the game in whatever state it was in.

Things have quietend down round hear since the headdy days of early March 20-11! ;)

Yep.The fine chaps at 1c were just about to put the last touches on the awesomenest combat flightsim evar when the pressure by the community forced them to release an unfinished, universally trashed piece of buggy entertainment software. That's exactly how I remember it. Dozens of threads with titles like "We don't care about FSAA!!" and "We don't worry about the performance, really!" basically littered the forum.

Be sure.
